Rush Limbaugh: "I don't care if Romney's "not conservative enough."
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | May 30, 2012 | Rush Limbaugh

He didn't have to say it but he did. Rolled over for the establishment.:

"So Romney has responded (paraphrased), "Oh, yeah? Well, I've got an 80% success rate, Mr. President. The companies that Bain Capital -- using its own money, by the way -- went in and rescued had an 80% success rate. What's your success rate, Mr. President? Zero! Every company you've attempted to save or industry you've tried to give a boost to -- with taxpayer dollars, not even your own -- are bankrupt." And to personify this, to illustrate it, Romney goes to Solyndra today.

Bravo! Well done! I like this.

I don't care if Romney's "not conservative enough." I know some people, like Joe Scarborough yesterday on his show, said (paraphrased), "People don't know about Solyndra! This is crazy. Romney's wasting his time talking about Solyndra. The American people never heard of it and the American people don't care about Solyndra." He said you and I care about it, but nobody else knows about it. I'm sure in certain circles, inside the Beltway, it is considered an inside baseball story that the average American doesn't know about and doesn't care about.

But, see, that's what a campaign is for."

I get what he is trying to say in the larger context. But he didn't have to say he didn't care how conservative Romney is. Uncalled for.

I’m just saying that Rush, like others, is doubling down on Romney and forced into a situation of carrying his water. They all FAILED and some didn’t even try to get a tea party type to the finish line. They paid lip service to being behind Bachmann, Santorum, Cain and so on. But couldn’t come to defend, actively support or promote any person. So they got what they got. The Era of McCain Must not be over because we have McCain light now.

Romney has pledged to repeal Obama Care immediately.

This makes my mind up

McCain light??? Pull your head out of the sand. Romney, like him or not, has already attacked Obama more than McCain.

By this time in 2007, McCain would have thrown Trump under 10 buses.

Get real.

I don’t like Mittens either but like it or not, he is what we have to run with. Only Stalin, Hitler and Mugabe could be worse than Obama and two of them are dead so lets beat Obama.

I understand the frustration. My first, second, third choice would not have been Romney. However, I can’t but help to realize one certain thing - there is a difference between pure socialist tyrannical evil and misguided/misapplied/mischaracterized mediocrity.

One implies, perhaps, that salvation could be had through constant never-ending pressure by real Americans, IOW bitch slapping him into reality.

The other is a given. There is no salvation, there is no worthwhile change, and there is no doubt that catastrophe will follow.

I’ve made my mind up and it won’t be Obama.

Another point to consider, even if the McCain light were 100% accurate.

Who in their right mind would not rather have McCain as President right now?

The choice in 2008 was not Ronald Reagan or obama. It was McCain or obama. I voted for McCain (in the general...not in the primary obviously).

I wish McCain had won.

Yeah, but keep in mind that keeping ObamaCare around is only a shake of the etch-a-sketch away.

“McCain light??? Pull your head out of the sand. Romney, like him or not, has already attacked Obama more than McCain.”

Even I can admit that Romney has actually been the most aggressive GOP candidate so far since Bush 88.

You simply cannot compare him to McCain in that way.

'We sure screwed those conservatives didn't we?'

McCain tells voters: We have nothing to fear with Barack Obama in the White House (2008 FLASHBACK)

I wish McCain had won.

I voted for McCain in November 2008 and I wish he had won.

I will campaign for Romney and vote for him this November. I hope he wins.

Because of the current political and economic situation, I am having an easier time accepting Romney this year than I had accepting McCain in 2008.

If I had my choice between either Romney or McCain being sworn in next January, I would take Romney.

You know it is funny, cannot understand why Romney was an acceptable alternative to McCain in 2008, but not an acceptable alternative to 0bama now.

The “etch-a-sketch” dig has always been flimsy at best. I’m sure what Romney’s aid meant was that once the nomination was secured, Romney would change course from attacking his Republican Primary opponents to attacking Obama. At least that’s how I saw it.

Mark Levin, who says he is supporting Romney, did endorse Bachmann and Santorum, in fact had both on them on his show numerous times, but neither candidate made the effort to get on the ballot in Virgina. You really cannot blame the “establishment” for that. Cain simply self-destructed.

The anti-Romney jihad around these parts has all of the reason and subtlety of a witch hunt.
