The notion that Donald Trumps fundraiser is some kind of debacle for Mitt Romney is one more shiny object stunt that is a transparent diversion by the Obama campaign so the media will avoid examining President Obamas record. And its yet another indication of just how in-the-tank-for-Obama is so much of the media coverage
I find it inconceivable that there are voters out there who will change their votes because Trump raised money for Romney. But relevance doesnt equal news judgment. Voters, I suspect, arent so dim as to disagree with Romneys comment: You know, I dont agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they dont all agree with everything I believe in. But I need to get 50.1 percent or more, and Im appreciative to have the help of a lot of good people.
That Romney has disclaimed any hint of birtherism is also no reason for the media to restrain itself.
Nor is hypocrisy any hinderance. Obamas super PAC continues to take money from Bill Maher, who not only demeans women in terms unusable in The Post, but also has taken to anti-Mormon bigotry. Yawn goes the media.
An Obama bundler is a porn producer. And, Team Obama includes a self-identified Muslim Palestinian-American campaign fundraiser who has a history of blasting Israel in highly charged letters and newspaper articles about the Middle East conflict. More yawning from the media.

The bias is nauseating...on every level: print, network broadcast, most cable shows, even local tv news--leftwing, pro-Obama bias is over the top.
We were told that associations don’t mean anything but now Obama has opened it up. Yes, it is hypocrisy but doesn’t it set Obama up? You can now do ads with him/democrats talking about ‘radical right’ associations of Romney and then introduce Obama’s radical associations. Can’t really call racist when Obama opened that door.
A transparent attempt by Big Liberal Journalism to expand the image of Romney as “an out of touch rich guy” who rubs elbows with...DONALD TRUMP!!!! The horror of it all!
Yes. The Obama’s are making a mistake if they try to use the Trump thing against Romney.
Romney has played it just right.
Obama can hardly criticize Mitt for his supporters when Obama has far more questionable supporters than Mitt ever dreamed of having.
That won’t stop him from trying this, but like his other diversions, this won’t play. It only gives publicity to the birther issue which they want to downplay.
Obama even lost the doggie war.
Some free advice for Jennifer Rubin:
Railing at "the media", even with hyperlinks to particularly egregious examples of media bias and/or cluelessness, may make you feel good, but it will hardly have any meaningful effect.
Nobody in the MFM is going to look at your well-deserved swipes at "the media" and say to themselves, "you know, Jennifer Rubin is right, I do need to stop being an extension of the DNC's campaign organization, and should instead think for myself and break out of the mold of the clueless leftist 'journo'".
Instead, to be more effective, find a particularly nauseating example of MFM bias on a weekly basis, attach a name and a face to it, have a meticulously-researched compilation of that journo's idiocies as backup, and then mercilessly ridicule their lack of professionalism. You need to make them look like such toadies and clowns that their colleagues will have to use all of their self-control to avoid laughing in their faces (while they all laugh behind their backs), and little children will want to walk up to them and try to honk their red rubber clown noses.
It may not change the behavior of any single leftist journo, but if you rinse and repeat, some of them may eventually get the message and mend their corrupt ways.
Damn good advice.
Exactly.
It may not change the behavior of any single leftist journo...
But it will creat doubt about the MSM in the minds of anyone who sees the bias. And that is a victory.
