With more than half the population being a non-white 55.2 percent, Texas joins New Mexico, California, Hawaii, and Washington D.C. with a "majority-minority" status, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Majority-minority is a legal term used to describe a U.S. state that has a racial composition of less than 50 percent white. The Census Bureau defines individuals who are considered 'white' as non-Hispanics who have family origins in Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.

If this was happening in a different country, we’d call it ethnic cleansing. 60% of Hispanics vote for the more liberal candidate. Adding more and more means we lose Texas and any chance at the presidency. Anyone who claims this is a non-issue is fooling themselves. This is a fundamental change to the country in a very bad direction - the left.
No, the “bennies” are just the carrot on the stick to bring America into full blown Communism, where we are all peasants and slaves, and serve no purpose but to serve the state.
I recall when whites became official minority in Cleveland ~1999, and blacks the majority ethnic group; it was suggested by some that it was time to do away with programs supporting blacks, since they were now the majority. Bottom line, legally the term "minority" is defined by statute as black, hispanic, and American-Indian... so whites can never be eligible for "minority" programs, and likewise even if they become the majority, those races will never become ineligible. Ain't life sweet!

Yes, and in some ways I wish we could live in that past. The reality in 2012 is that statism is overtaking America in the guise of “fairness” and “redistribution of wealth.”
The flood across the border is drowning America, and the sooner we wake up and recognize it’s not about race but ideology, the better off we’ll be.
As I stated in my first comment, it’s not about race but about voting trends. Don’t get so caught up in “race” that you miss the whole point of what is happening before your very eyes.
Perry can look out his office window to East Austin which is full of illegals. He’s done nothing to send them packing. In fact, he’s done everything he can to keep them here with all the perks. We’ve had his Dream Act for many years in Texas.
Well.... None of my friends or family labeled themselves as white on the census in a preventative redistricting measure. I wouldn’t put too much stock in that census. We are all hispanics now.

When the demographics shift, through illegal immigration or rewarding welfare mothers for having children out of wedlock, or other means, which results in a flood of Democrat voters who will destroy America as we once knew it, that is a bad thing.
We can then wave bye-bye to liberty and the very reason America was founded.
America as we know it will no longer exist.

So race has nothing to do with it, voting patterns are everything, and in that is a bad omen, I still don’t get that.
