Sheriff Joe Arpaio says the decision by Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett to place Barack Obama’s name on the state’s presidential ballot won’t put an end to the investigation

Zullo said the possibility remained that Arpaio’s law enforcement investigation will conclude Obama’s birth certificate and Selective Service registration form are fraudulent – a result that would pit the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office against the Arizona state government. The posse announced March 1 probable cause exists that the documents were forged.
“In my meetings with Mr. Bennett on behalf of Sheriff Arpaio, he was uninterested in reviewing the evidence the Cold Case Posse has accumulated,” Zullo said, characterizing Bennett’s late-night announcement as a “desperate rush to judgment” after weeks of negotiation to get Hawaii to provide the assurances he required.
“Evidently Hawaii has had a change of heart,” Zullo said. “I’m now happy to return once again to the Hawaii Department in Health to repeat our request that Hawaii release whatever birth records may yet remain concealed in the Hawaii Department of Health vaults to public examination by a court-certified group of forensic examiners.”

At least Bennett got HI to double down on explicitly “verifying” the WH .pdf file.
For Hawaii's sake (cough cough), "I hope it stands up to future scrutiny" - They've stepped it now neck deep.
“I verify that the information in the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth for Mr. Obama that you attached with your request matches the original record in our files.”
Onaka does not say the copy of the COLB you attached “is a true and correct image of the copy of the original 1961 BC made from the bound archival volume certified by me and given to President Obama’s attorney.”
Onaka curiously only says that the information matches the original! More weasel words drafted by a lawyer.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio seems to be more of a law enforcement officer than a politician.

They certainly have. The forgery put out by the White House had Barack Obama Sr listed as the papa. While Obama has always said Sr. was his daddy, we've never had any type of official documentation to that effect so we could never prove Obama is not a natural born citizen. They've always avoided any kind of official record for that very reason. Now that Hawaii has certified this, even if it's a lie, it puts Barack in a difficult position. Of course Congress will just ignore it so maybe not. Still, Mr. Onaka has his wee wee way out on a line on this one.

A repeated paragraph from above:

You’ll notice that the word “true” is missing in the Onaka verification to Bennett.
You can bet dollars to donuts that was the rewording they agreed upon was to eliminate the word “true” abstract.
