WASHINGTON (AP) Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is declining to renew the endorsement he gave Barack Obama four years ago, when he called Mr. Obama a transformational figure.
...
Mr. Powell called presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney a viable candidate and said hes still listening to Republican proposals. Mr. Powell, who served under President George W. Bush, also said, I dont want to throw my weight behind someone at this point in the campaign.

Colon must have got a few too many hits to his head - "throw my weight"? Who the hell are you kidding?
Don’t care what the racist Colin Bowell thinks.
He was a dumbass for endorsing Hussein in 2008.
General Colin Dumbass.
No General Powell, you OWN Barack Obama. In fact he’s wearing your name around his neck.
At this point, Powell is a friggin nobody. His only trading factor now is that he happens to be black - and Obama has plenty of those endorsements to go round. He lost any credibility he ever had as a Republican the minute he ceded his endorsement to pure racism.
I don’t care what this dishonorable pr#ck thinks.
He knew the truth about the Plame affair and kept his mouth shut, almost allowing Scooter Libby to go to prison.
He has always been a squish.
As a so-called “Republican” he voted for Obama, a no-nothing, and did not even vote for a man who had least served in the military and was in his own party.
FUCP.
If there is a black person on the ballot, it’s not a mystery who he’ll vote for. Last election stamped racist on his forehead. Obama voter, bank on it.
Colin who?
If he THREW his weight behind Barry Sotelo Hussein, then there isn’t any WEIGHT left in my opinion for him to throw around.......now. It’s too late. He already THREW it. Like a tossed ball, you only get one chance to throw your weight. Unless he is evolving, not flip flopping...
Powell lost any credibility he had when he showed that he was a racist in 2008 by supporting Obama simply because of the color of his skin.
I dont want to throw my weight behind someone
As an unaccomplished, affirmative-action racist and career bureaucrat who goes in whatever direction the political winds are blowing, what possible “weight” could you have with anyone, Powell?
For that matter, I can think of about 2 or 3 public figures whose “endorsement” I might actually care about. Even then, it would have no influence on my vote.
Not getting the importance of endorsements....
Wait, is he saying that being of the same pigmentation doesn’t make him the most excellent leader of all time???
Gimmick to make himself relevant.
The obamamedia will fret over and over about whether Powell will go for obama or not.
This will go on until early November when Powell will come out with his endorsement of obama.
Juan McCain was exactly the type of moderate reach across the aisle squish that RINO's like Powell said we should nominate.
A turd doesn't weigh that much.
lol
Colin Bowel / Santorum ... the dream ticket of the makers of x-lax
lol
I’m sorry but, I too share the disdain for this Republican turncoat, but this is a big deal, Colin Powell’s refusal to outright endorse Obama at this time.
Rest assured the Obama camp considers this announcement a slap in the face, and it will resonate with others.
Perhaps the underlying plus for our side is that Colin Powell’s reticence may give others “permission” to begin to question their vote for Obama.
You could be wrong.
It might be mid to late October.
