Patricia Krentcil, the New Jersey woman dubbed the "Tanning Mom" after she was arrested for allegedly taking her young daughter tanning, wants people to know she's not the leather-faced lunatic the media has made her out to be. "I'm up at 3 in the morning, making sure all the wash is done," Krentcil told the "Today" show from her Nutley home in a taped interview that aired Monday. "My husband goes to work at 4:30, he works from Wall Street. And then I make pancakes, pack their bags, and they're all off and gone. And then I work all day inside and outside of this house."

It really does.
I never cared about tanning——the look, nor lying around with the baking sun bearing down on me. I’m super fair, of English descent, and I like myself that way. It has its benefits, too.....recently someone guessed my age at 15-20 years younger than I am. Yippee, LOL!
As far as I know it’s not photoshopped.
I recall several photos or TV news episodes about this... the skin color varied. However, the complexion seems quite tanned for New Jersey at this time of year. Lots of time in the booth.
C’mon! Stop judging! It’s clear that this woman is a prepper! She’s just storing up enough melatonin so that she can still be nice and tan when the 2012 disaster strikes.
Yup, I’d say she’s got enough pigment to last 20 yrs, at least.
She’d better invest in some chemo drugs from the black market, too.
Dylan Stableford needs to mind his own business. She can tan all she wants and it is none of his business! She said she didn't take the little girl in the booth with her and the owner agreed.
I don't like his skanky look either but that is his business.
That is what I think too!
I have two questions.
1. Is tanning mom a white woman?
2. Is tanning mom a woman?
I did...what a Crispy Critter!
“My husband goes to work at 4:30.”
Gee, I wonder why that is . . . .

5 years from now there will be this headline: “tanning mom dies of melanoma”
“Im super fair, of English descent, and I like myself that way. It has its benefits, too.....recently someone guessed my age at 15-20 years younger than I am. Yippee, LOL!”
Me, too, fair English and blue eyes on both sides. Had a severe sun burn when a teen, and that was it for me. I have to insist to doctors and others how old I am, the same as you, they think 15-20 years younger. The dermatologist was shocked I was so old without wrinkled skin.
Maybe that’s why that picture hurts me to look at it - I remember that skin burn I had from long ago.
Oh, boy, I had one of those bad burns as a child, myself. As I recall, even water on my skin hurt.
My grandparents moved to Florida in the fall of 1973 and we spent the following summer there. Right before we went I graduated 8th grade and there had been a number of school and church related “outings.” I spent most of my summer wearing a T-shirt because my shoulders had gotten so burned during those outings that I actually had sun poisoning.
I don’t do the laying out in the sun, and really never have, but I do get a “farmer’s tan” every year because of the amount of time I spend outdoors.
“...because my shoulders had gotten so burned during those outings that I actually had sun poisoning.”
My whole body, except where the two piece bathing suit was, was burned so badly, I had chills for two days. Anything touching my skin caused pain for days. It hurt to move.
After that, I didn’t care if other girls were tanned. They just looked like pain to me.
