Thanks! I have to wait another hour for FNS to come on here. Ryan’s terrific. I wouldn’t mind seeing him as VP or even POTUS someday but I’d hate to lose him in the House today, where he’s doing so well.

Thank you so much. I am now an official FReditorial writer. Laz and Jim have started an editorial page they want to promote and I was asked to contribute to it. This was my first submission yesterday.

Ryan would be an excellent VP and keep the focus on the economy and budget. He has all the facts and has a way of saying it in a way people understand. Unfortunately he is too White and Male for our victim class society. It might offend a minority like women who outnumber men.

The big media simply wants ratings to sell advertisements.
More people would watch t.v. news shows if Hillary were
on the ticket. If Obama/ Clinton would win, the Clintons would work behind the scenes secretly to remove Obama from office.

Meet the Press, Durbin vs. Ryan, Gregory asks about Boehner’s comments about spending cuts vs. increasing debt limit.

Durbin was surprised that Boehner reminded voters of what happened last summer. It is not responsible. Promotes Simpson/Bowles commission approach.

Ryan supports Bowles/Simpson approach to closing tax loopholes, but not approach to medicaire costs.

A reminder on Goolsbee, this was May 2011, keep in mind the Unemployment Number is down because there are less available jobs;

Goolsbee isn’t the only one saying more than 2 million private sector jobs added in the last 14 months; State run media regurgitates it with no clarification.

“That means over the last 14 months,” Obama said, “we’ve added more than 2 million jobs in the private sector.”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney pointed out to reporters that April was the 14th consecutive month of growth in private sector employment, for a total of 2.1 million jobs

Austan Goolsbee looks like he needs both Exlax and Preparation H.

McCain didn’t fight back properly during the last campaign.
Romney must fire up the people to win this election. The voters need some beef. Where is the beef? Obama will attack with everthing he has; even lies and deception.
Romney must speak out or he will lose like McCain.

You’ve made your points quite well, but I do have a question.

Only two horses in the finale have any chance of winning. What then?

Go have fun on the runway and being with your friends, and there’s nothing like being yourself and having the confidence to stay focused on what you want to do, in other words don’t let what others may think distract you from your fashion show.

I am commenting in response to my own post about Bill Kristol. I am suspicious he was paid by the Hillary people to write that article. As far out as that might sound, I do still believe this. Something weird about an alleged Conservative-Repub writing such a thing.

But there was one major point I forgot to mention. Kristol says in the article for illustration of Biden’s shortcomings his supposed “gaffe” last week on MTP about Gay marriage.

Now your mileage might vary, but I do not for one milli-second think that was any kind of gaffe, but an orchestration by the WH to get Obamer out there endorsing gay marriage in time for a big fundraiser at George Clooney’s. Biden followed the script is all.

BUT, if you’re trying to help Hillary’s campaign, well hey, assert Biden gaffed on the gay marriage thing, for illustration as to why he has to go, to be replaced, of course, by Hillary. An insider like Kristol should see right thru that acting job by Biden on MTP last week.

Now, Paul Ryan....he’s doing a good job this morning. And oh my, got to love Dick Turbin, no?

Anyway, Ryan, rightly, mentions that Obamer and congress has not passed a budget.

But in listening, I know what the Repubs are doing wrong. And for the same fee Kristol got from Hillary’s campaign, I will tell them what.

Ryan and the pubs need to bring all this DC crap down to the ordinary household level.

While Ryan mentioned the lack of a budget several times, come on, he needs to be louder and shriller. The senate voted against Obamer’s budget 99-0!

The pubs need to say, over and over, that all of us boobs out here in la-la land who have jobs know we MUST submit budgets for our jobs, we know our very households needs to have a budget, however informal.

It wouldn’t hurt if Mumbles McConnell or Tears Boehner would get out and about and mention this lack of a budget over and over.

Most importantly, so goes my argument, keep tying it to the lives of us mere mortals who carry this country on our backs.

And here is Krystal helping them...

I'm saying it again till I get on nerves. That was just the darn weirdest editorial...makes no sense at all. Somebody somewhere, and somebody not on our side, had to give Krystal some kind of impetus to write such a thing.

Cause yer right. Put Hillary on that ticket and the Dems pick up a lot of Hillary's former fans and maybe some precious Independents.

His reason for writing such a thing is so outta there....like "don't you want to win against a more formidible team?"

Come on! I'll win against a weak team and be quite content.

Indeed.

bray: "He didn’t have a Republican congress pushing him in MA. "

Please favor us with a little less disingenuity on this.
It is not about a "congress".
It is about the core of the man: Myth Romney.

Here from his own mouth:

Romney (Shapeshifter,RINO):
"I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform.
"

"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."

--  President Ronald Reagan

Romney ruined Massachusetts.

So a one term GOP governor in the bluest of blue states ruined MA all by himself? Did the MA Supreme Court have any role? What about a state legislature that is now controlled overwhelmingly by the Dems--35-4 (1 vacancy) in the Senate and 127-33 in the House?

Alas Babylon,

Thanks for the thread.

I’m tellin’ on myself here but I’m self-employed (and a very poor worker and worse boss I can tell you).

Not having a regular working routine, one sometimes gets mixed up on days.

Saturday morning I woke up sure that it was Sunday because I had to be at church at ten A.M. (for a funeral).

I came to this site looking for the Sunday Morning thread. It wasn’t here. I totally panicked thinking that you’d finally gotten tired of doing it.

I even put it in the search engine.

It was way too long before I realized it was Saturday.

So, you see, some of us still care a lot about this thread.

I got up late and missed it. Would love to see a report here. Fortunately, it’s re-broadcast a couple of times on FNN.

That reminds me of when some sportcaster asks a player what team would he rather play against.

Player always replies with the name of some formidable team, when he’s really thinking “I’d love to play the Little Sisters of the Poor.”

Heck, yes, we want a weak ticket for the dems and we sure have one.

Oddly enough, I like it when Fox News Channel supports the Republican candidate.

But that’s just me.

I grew up in Springfield and have lived in Illinois all my life. Illinois is a Red State if you throw out Cook County (Chicago). In the last Governors election, the Republican Candidate Bill Brady carried 100 of the 102 counties and still lost.

Unfortunately, in Central Illinois we’re seeing politicians trash their values to enhance their careers . Did you know Dick Durbin is from Springfield, and when he was a Congressman he supported an amendment to the Constitution to permanently overturn Roe vs. Wade. Of course now that he’s number 2 in the Senate it’s follow the party line and the hell with the constituents.

Also Ray Lahood, Republican Congressman for many years from Peoria is now Transportation Secretary and walking the Obama red line.

Have a wonderful trip. I always wanted to go to England... probably the only country in Europe I really want to go to.

It will be fun with your sister. Anything I did with my sister was always fun!
