I’m for all the things FR is supposed to stand for and against all the bad stuff, but I tend to be nice about it.

Still can’t figure out what’s happening around here.

IMO, it’s just too bad that all this ugliness is diluting a major force that should instead be united in one goal: to send Obama back to whatever hole he crawled out of.

If you were on the threads that were bashing JR to his face and slamming FR, I seem to have missed your wise words about "all this ugliness is diluting a major force that should instead be united in one goal." How about posting links to posts to the bashers in which you were battling this "ugliness", OK?

What happened was that a small group of anti-FReepers, including "current" (at that time) FReepers were attempting to co-opt this website. This includes the Mormon Warriors who think any criticism of THEIR faith be banned (you should see the 'religion' threads on their site, you wouldn't believe it), the libertarians who favor the gay agenda and abortion and other crap and absolutely HATE with a passion anyone who believes in moral absolutes. There were also disaffected FReepers and some who left on their own plus there were leftist/liberals there, one of whom is a moderator.

It's not a conservative website by any stretch of the imagination. They want to make FR into 'not a conservative' site too.

I am not saying that some of them didn't have legitimate gripes originally, but becoming part of such a site with that kind of agenda makes them doubleplus ungood.

lol. One of their complaints was that some FReepers use bad language, but that site has much worse language. They complain about name calling on FR while they do more of it than happens on this site, even though this one has many times more members.

Every FReeper and sometimes it seems every American is on edge these days. The members of that site thought this site was weak enough to be pushed over like a domino.

WHY?

Distraction, distraction, distraction, ... it works, gets people to squabble over all kinds of unimportant side issues, while ignoring or missing what is really happening behind the scenes.

The occupy groups are an example of distraction. Very bad examples. They tear down and live like ignorant uncivilized people, barbarians inside the gates, ... to what purpose ... distraction and causing people to think about them and how to disperse them ... the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing,

How Jim R. tolerates some of this much, and nonsense is a testament to his dedication to freedom of speech to a very high degree.

Thank you Jim. Sorry it is so trying. Think back to when there were no moderatorss. Thank God for the moderators.
