It's not a conservative website by any stretch of the imagination. They want to make FR into 'not a conservative' site too.
I am not saying that some of them didn't have legitimate gripes originally, but becoming part of such a site with that kind of agenda makes them doubleplus ungood.
lol. One of their complaints was that some FReepers use bad language, but that site has much worse language. They complain about name calling on FR while they do more of it than happens on this site, even though this one has many times more members.
Every FReeper and sometimes it seems every American is on edge these days. The members of that site thought this site was weak enough to be pushed over like a domino.
It would seem that even logical libertarians ought to stop at “gay marriage.” Some want the state to bow out of all marriage, but that’s like asking the state not to recognize people and forgetting why it ever did care about who’s married and to whom. Given that, why punk the system for the sake of something that even a minority of US homosexuals, let alone US people, would ever contemplate? And the matter of the wisest social approach to drug abuse isn’t a totally one sided debate — I’ve long advocated giving that issue back to doctors who in turn would have to be able to be held legally responsible for careless prescribing.
They sure seem to spend a lot of time monitoring FR. Their site comes across as a group therapy session for jilted lovers.
“We are strongly opposed to Marxism, communism, socialism, anarchism, fascism, abortionism, homosexualism, “
I missed this one. Is this intentional tie-in with HG’s posts about flagrant homosexualism and abusers of small animals? Could you please clarify FR positions on this views, as he is an explicitly sanctioned FR person?
