Dismal Job Growth and Stagnation Will Unseat Obama

For months, the Obama administration has told American voters that the nation had turned the corner on a stagnant recovery. Job creation picked up in December, January, and February, averaging a decent if unspectacular 217,000 jobs added monthly during that period.
It seemed as though the economy would provide the White House with momentum heading into a tough election fight -- not just for the White House but also for the Senate where Democrats have to defend 23 of the 33 seats up for election this year. Evidence of success from Barack Obamas economic policies might keep both in Democratic hands, especially as voters start taking the election seriously this summer.
A month ago, the March numbers dashed those hopes. Job creation slowed significantly to 120,000, and a few weeks later, the GDP report for the first quarter provided some explanation. Growth slowed from a pedestrian 3.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011 to a stagnation-level 2.2 percent. Still, the White House suggested that this was merely a hiccup in an overall improvement for job creation and economic growth. One month does not a trend make, after all. . .

Confirms that it is always, the “economy stupid” that decides Presidential elections.

It’s the “economy stupid” or your pocketbook or wallet that decides Presidential elections and Obama has a “record now”.

Don't bet the farm on it. Mr. Obama has the unions, academia, the press, 97% of blacks, many Hispanics, guilty and other liberal whites, Occupy, ACORN, the professional left, people turned of by Mormonism, stupid soccer moms, single women who want free contraceptives, those on the dole, most college kids, the Lavender Mafia, the majority of Jews, Cafeteria Catholics, liberal evangelicals and fundamentalists, Methodists, most Lutherans, Unitarians, Quakers, government workers, Hollywood, peacecreeps, granola crunchers, treehuggers, many snowbirds, teachers, illegals and many more groups.

Good article. But yesterday I read where Blacks in NC would vote 12:1 in favor of Obi. Voters will need to turn out in massive numbers to counter this. And I simply do not think they will with Romney as our nominee...
And Obi still has the Jewish vote locked up. Go figure! What more can he and the Demwits do/say to harm Israel?
Folks at all economic levels are being hurt by the "Great Recession." I know construction workers, IT pros, college grads, etc. that cannot find decent work. Yet many will still vote for Obi.

Your number 6 post covered it better than my number 7. The recall/primary in Wisconsin may be a precursor to fall election. Unions/Demwits pulling out all the stops in Wisconsin. Local union voters hereabouts being shook down for contributions to the fight in Wisconsin. Total expenditures may exceed $100 MILLION for this situation!
Something tells me the "dead will rise" in WI. And if Dems successful in WI? Then similar tactics will be employed this fall. No cake walk. Obi will go down fighting in very close race, if he goes down at all...

It won’t unstick leftist politics, at the presidential level, no matter who wins!

That poll is rather suspect.

A lot of the polls are suspect, so I take it with a grain of salt.

But have no fear, dems...
There are posters on this board, who will work tirelessly to re-elect Obama.

Mr. Carter lost because of Iran, not the economy, from what I saw. The power of incumbency is awe-inspiring and hard to beat. Without the broken tax pledge and Ross Perot, Bush I would’ve beat Gov. Clinton like a rented mule. OTOH, Senator Dole never really had a prayer.

Don’t forget about dead voters, criminal voters, cheating, judicial activism, and rigging the actual election results.
