A New Jersey woman was arrested after police said she brought her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth, causing the girl to suffer burns.
But 44-year-old Patricia Krentcil, who was charged with second-degree child endangerment, said her daughter was never exposed to the tanning booth's UV rays and instead got slightly sunburned while playing outside on a warm day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The girl's father told NBC 4 New York his daughter told classmates at school that she "went tanning with Mommy." He thinks a teacher overheard, inaccurately connected the girl's sunburn to the tanning salon trip and contacted police.

I thought the picture you posted was photoshopped so I went to the link. Good grief, that's really her!! For anyone to do that to themselves she has to be mentally ill. No question about it.
I thought it was a joke too...That is...I know people are worried about the kid, but a relative needs to step in and worry about the mom. She's got serious problems. She's going to tan herself into an early grave before her kid gets out of high school.

Ah, tanning beds. Or as Hannibal Lecter prefers to call them, “‘salamander’ broilers”.

Some radio talkers here in LA were saying that most of this gal’s “tan” is out of a bottle rather than from a tanning bed.
Somehow she managed to avoid guido orange and instead is peat bog brown. Maybe she’s using leather dye.

Tanning is gross. That mom looks like she’s been deep-fried.
