“How do you go to Afghanistan and not include the troops.”

Wait. This can’t be true. Really. How could he go to a war zone and not meet with the troops. Are we sure we have the details down correctly?

OK, so I actually read the brief report. Here is what it says:
“Tonight Barack Obama gave a speech at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan. US soldiers were not allowed.”

This is an insult to the men. These guys are putting their lives on the line for our protection and the Dweeb in Chief doesn’t give a damn about encouraging and thanking them.

This is a campaign photo op.

Attention: This man is an absolute disgrace. We MUST do what ever it takes to get him out of office. (Even vote for Romney — but only if he picks a conservative VP.)

White House Insider claims this trip was planned at least 3 months ago and told Karzai that he was coming to celebrate the anniversary. The pact that they signed was a ruse.

I await details to see if he actually met with any troops during this trip.

-——How could he go to a war zone and not meet with the troops——

I concluded he had a dilemma. He wanted the speech to be live and the time provided by the networks was 7:30, not prime time but near it. In Afghanistan it was 8 or so hours before, meaning 4 or 5 o’clock local.

The problem was dragging the troops out of their racks and into an assembly at 0 dark 30 to hear a speech read from teleprompters.

I’m certain that the handlers decided that it would be more detrimental to drag the troops out than to not have them present at all.

What we (I) do not know is if he met with some during their normal working hours.
