Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who endorsed Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election, told The Daily Caller that he will be “listening” to both GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney and President Obama before making any “judgments” on their foreign policies.
“I’m not going to do politics tonight, and I will be watching both Mr. Romney and President Obama and see what judgments I come to as a result of listening to them, but that’s not tonight,” he told TheDC at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. “Tonight is entertainment and fun.” In September 2010 Powell said he thought President Obama was a “transformational figure,” but stopped short of endorsing him for re-election.

Exactly. If that'd been some pasty old dried-up lib like Tom Harkin (who is actually to the political right of Obama), Powell wouldn't have given him a second look. It was ALL about skin color.

- I watched Colin Powell attempt to blow smoke up Sean Hannity the other day - Changing the subject and earning his well-laundered paycheck - expect another book soon...... My observation is that like Barack Hussein Obama II, Powell is just another stealth Muslim pretending to be a Christian by playing the creepy role of an "above it all" non-partisan post-political statesman; furthermore I would say that he is basically a lobbyist for the radical Muslim Brotherhood and is simply an older, slimier, and slicker version of Obama and his far-left Black Socialism. I recall several years back on TV that Colin Powell stood in front of his own exotic collection of rare and expensive firearms while he drawled out his mealy-mouthed crap about the dire need to limit American citizens ownership of, access to, and use of firearms. I agree completely with your post. Powell is looking for relevance and for the candidates to come “romance” him. The Romney campaign should ignore this overrated creature.
