GREENVILLE, SC ---
Just a week before graduation, 23 year old Chris Peterman should be preparing his cap and gown. Instead, the Bob Jones University student says he's fighting for the degree he believes he's earned, and he believes the popular television show "Glee" may be partly to blame.

I find the title odd. I can see demanding education from a school - that's what you are paying for. To demand that a school recognized for its conservative politics change its essential nature strikes me as disgustingly arrogant. While I would never have chosen BJU and would discourage my own children from attending that school, I generally side with the school on this. I expect the little loser to get his diploma eventually, but I also expect his public tantrum to make him unemployable at any productive company or organization. I would never hire him - nor am I stupid enough to tell him it's because he's a troublemaker.

As many BJU students have posted on the original story, he knew the rules, he broke the rules, he suffered the consequences.
Whenever someone “demands” non-education education, I always assume it is political in nature. He wants indoctrination, not education.
“Sexual abuse education” sounds like it really means something else.
“He also says he understood the school’s strict set of standards, rules known for banning everything from sex and smoking, to watching television on campus. “I did agree to that,” he says. “For 3 years, I lived under it, and I was fine.”
He agreed to the rules and when he broke them he cries foul?
Too bad for him..

A lot more to the story not mentioned. Apparently the original purpose of the group was to demand the resignation of a board member. For some unnamed reason. Well, that board member did eventually resign, though this likely had little to do with this group.
Then, the group changed its purpose to not just “sexual abuse awareness”, but according to one of the faculty, “opposition to ‘Christian sexual inhibitions’”. And while it was not said by what was meant with that, I have a pretty good idea.

Are you sure you meant to post this on Free Republic and not the Daily Kos? Your buddy knew the rules and decided to break them. And we’re all supposed to rally to his effete cause.
As to sexual abuse awareness, I think most Americans are entirely aware of it. If it ever was a true cause, it has degenerated into a major scam whereby talentless vixens can destroy males, protect their unmerited status, and make a bundle of money all in one fell swoop.
You came back to post this?
Agreed. Bob Jones University is free to manage their business as they see fit.
Where’s the problem here?
Must be troll awareness week.
you don’t even want to know what fox business did today to officially jump their morning show shark. (for those in rio linda, they had a homosexual author of a book about his “two mothers” advocating that it was normal behavior. Fox Business is a joke.)
Anyone who willingly watches “Glee” should be expelled from the galaxy.

The smells of ozone and scorched poofter in the morning are invigorating...
Years ago, my brother got kicked out of Bob Jones Academy for running a gambling casino in his dorm room. Didn’t whine. Didn’t declare that he was “stalked and harassed.” Didn’t claim sexual abuse.
He just moved on to Eastern Mennonite Academy — where he was promptly kicked out for running a gambling casino in his dorm room and requesting that the daily chapel open its service with his favorite soon: “Lucky Devil.”
Again, he didn’t throw a hissy fit. Just left the school and went on to become a very successful TV and film producer.
Maybe the sensitive little sweetheart at BJU should follow suit.
