The Daily Caller reports a huge 200-page research document has hit the internet, and it reveals Mitt Romney utterly and damningly for the flip-flopping opportunistic liberal that he is.
The paper was compiled during the 2008 presidential race and is believed to be from the McCain campaign (not the most conservative source itself). Among some of the interesting tidbits that blow a hole in his claims about being pro-life, pro-marriage, and generally conservative:
Abortion
Romney says he changed his mind on abortion meeting with Harvard stem cell researcher - Romney claims the doctor said scientists "kill" embryos after 14 days, but doctor later said Romney "mischaracterized my position."
Months after his "conversion," Romney stated his commitment to upholding Massachusetts abortion laws and appointed pro-choice judge to state district court.
In October 2005, Romney signed bill expanding family planning services, including abortion counseling and morning-after pill.
In December 2005, Romney "abruptly ordered his administration to reverse course . . . and require Catholic hospitals to provide emergency contraception medication to rape victims."
Romney health insurance plan expanded access to abortion, required Planned Parenthood representative on state panel.
Romney endorsed legalization of abortion pill RU-486 access during his 1994 Senate race and backed federal funding of abortion, saying "I think its important that people see me not as a pro-life candidate."
In 1994 and 2002, Romney confirmed his support for Roe v. Wade decision and forcefully positioned himself as pro-choice in 1994 Senate race, saying "you will not see me wavering on that."
Romney has refused to comment on bill pending in South Carolina legislature requiring that abortion doctors offer pregnant women option of viewing ultrasound.
Gay Rights
Romney endorsed Rep. Barney Franks Employment Nondiscrimination Act in 1994.
In 1994, Romney called "dont ask, dont tell" policy first step toward having gays and lesbians "able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military" and said he would provide "more effective leadership" on gay rights issues than Ted Kennedy.
In 2003, Washington Times reported Romney "would support a Vermont-style civil union law in Massachusetts."
As governor, Romney said health coverage benefits and hospital visitation rights should be provided to gay couples.
Romney promised to make gay partnership benefits a "hallmark of my leadership as governor" and has said he would attend gay weddings if invited.
Romney publicly opposed Boy Scouts ban on homosexuals in 1994 and 2002 campaigns.
In 2002, Romney backed hate crimes legislation that included sexual orientation provisions.
In 2007, Romney praised gay parent who confronted him over gay marriage issue, but in 2005 remarked to South Carolina audience that some gay couples "are actually having children" and called it "wrong."
Gun Control
In 1994 Senate race, Romney backed Brady bill and assault weapons ban, saying "I dont line up with the NRA" and "thats not going to make me the hero of the NRA."
Romney called Clinton crime bill "a big step forward."
As governor, Romney quadrupled gun licensing fees and vowed not to "chip away" at tough gun laws
In 2004, Romney signed permanent state-level ban on assault weapons that was mirrored after federal assault weapons ban. In January 2006, Romney said he owned a gun - then two days later admitted he did not and the gun belonged to his son.
Romney bragged about being member of the NRA but later revealed he didnt join until August 2006, just before launching his presidential campaign.
Romney recently said hes "been a hunter pretty much all my life" but later admitted he hunted only twice in his life, later clarifying remarks by claiming he has hunted "small varmints . . . more than two times."
In 2006 press conference, Romney claimed he had been hunting "many times" after returning from quail hunt in Georgia.
The paper also goes on to provide much greater details about these facts also. You should be sure to read the whole thing.
If Republicans allow themselves to be duped into believing Mitt "RomneyCare" Romney is a real Republican (much less a real conservative), they will be sorely disappointed if given a chance to find the truth once hes in the White House.
If Republicans allow the "mainstream" media and RINO elites to scare them into settling for this poor excuse for a Republican, they are going to kick themselves later. With Americans having gotten a clear look at liberalism under Barack Obama and his Democrat Congress, there will never be a better time to elect a real Republican, a conservative who understands how America was designed to operate. With the damage done by liberals to our great nation, there has never been a time when we have more desperately needed a conservative who knows what makes this country tick . . . not one who will only reduce - but not stop - the level of liberal poison being injected into our society.
The truth is, Romney almost certainly will not get a chance to show his true face. Enough Republicans already understand that hes nothing but a liberal with an "R" after his name, which means that even if people allow the "mainstream" media and the GOP establishment to fool them into supporting him in the primary, there will not be enough support from Republicans who know the truth to push him over the top in the general election. Principled Republicans will not vote for a fraud like Romney, and when "independents" are given a choice between a liberal with an "R" after his name and a liberal who proudly embraces the liberal Democrat Party, theyll go for the genuine article every time.
Republicans, lets throw this pretender onto the side of the road while there is still time, and choose a real Republican like Rick Santorum. Half-measures and "the lesser of two evils" will not be enough to save our ailing country; we must have decisive leadership that understands the need to return to the traditional American values that are PROVEN to work. Rick Santorum understands that; Mitt Romney just doesnt get it.
Temple Recommend Questions
13. Do you wear the garment both night and day as instructed in the endowment and in accordance with the covenant you made in the temple?

As a Mormon bishop Willard Mitt Romney has asked women who are not his wife this question during temple recommend interviews (alone with the woman with NO chaperone)
If a pervert Mormon bishop asked me about my underwear I would slap his face and call the cops....
What decent woman puts up with such behavior...
Whats wrong with these Mormon women ???
Do they get some kind oif kinky thrill out of being asked what underwear they have on by some supposed matinee idol looking guy who is not their husband ???

No, it doesn't.
By this same calculation, any vote for the 2nd-place finisher is the same as a vote for the 3rd-place finisher. Both are also-rans; and also-rans don't amount to much, do they?
Therefore,
#1...ANY vote for Romney -- should he lose -- becomes a wasted vote...
#2...Besides, most states will already be decided one way or the other -- and the grand total of FREEPERS in those given states won't swing the race one or the other...C'mon think before you actually utilize a keyboard!
Therefore, at best, there's really only a few states (PA, etc.) where any poster (like you) can even begin to stretch it re: how the FREEPER vote count in those states could possibly make a difference in the final vote count.
Not posted to me Sam, but here's my entry. I hope it's not too harsh.
BTW, Ya knew it was only a matter of time until the Republican insiders club supported another leftist liberal.
They're all riding in the same limo Sam.
Some of you people have the political battered wives syndrome. Ya keep getting lied to, getting your teeth kicked in, bruised and busted up, but ya keep coming back for more.
Over and over.
I'd say most, not all, have wised up to what government and these two beltway parties have become and stand for.
It's like watching a crowd gawk at masked wrestlers, thinking it's all legitimate and real, as the opponents perform their choreographed rehearsed moves for the clueless applauding audience of fools. After the show, the opponents slug down beer, count their cash and have a big ol' belly laugh.
Romney doesn't scare me any more than Obama.....both have leashes around their necks. I;m a conservative and I know what I stand on and why..... It's people who are 'fearful' who have lost sight of their principles and what we're fighting here on FR...let alone what this country is about...as one poster stated ....Stop Being Afraid!"
People appear to be so demoralized they'll do just about anything to ease the 'fears' they have.......and BTW if this nation is in such dire straits that you somehow imagine the likes of Romney will save the day....then the nation is well past being lost already.
Further..since when has any candidate won an election by his own base supporters say.."Yeah I hate him too, but"...
..."Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering 'his vote' .....that he is executing one of the most 'Solemn Trusts' in human society for which he is accountable to God.. and his country."...Samuel Adams
LOL....I was enjoying a great cup of java after a long day and darn near saturated my computer screen with that one!
Amen back at you....exactly! ...and they'll work this one out too!
Judging by Romney's record and by the behavior of his core supporters, he is every bit as capable of tyranny and progressivism as Obama,... and rightly move as if he was authorized by Republican voters to be that way.
Romney is arrogant and ruthless. The real Romney is as risky as Obama.
Hear ! Hear!......we're already seeing them swing on these threads....they haven't a clue they've taken the bait.
Come on FINNY! You want to talk about foxholes? Ive been there and dug them and lived in them....what about you? Ill tell you where I was for three years, can you do the same?! Tell me where you got your foxhole experience?!Your nothing but a toy soldier living in your mothers basement you piece of crap!

So tell us
Where did your Willie Mitty get his “foxhole experience” ???
Whats that ???
He never had any ???
Gosh then
you just called Wee Willie a piece of crap...
I was a Newt supporter from the beginning but we’re stuck with Romney. None of the good Conservatives, who are “electable” (Jim DeMint, Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio and Sarah Palin, to name a few) didn’t run. So, we have to play the hand we’re dealt. Our boy Newt didn’t carry the mail. He lost!!! I’m glad he’s repented, but, his slimey past and his “not so likeable” personality, finally caught up with him. The only person who has a chance to remove the Marxist Muslim from the White House is Mitt Romney. Not my choice, but I’d vote for a one-eyed, three-legged dog before I’d help Obama stay in the White House one day past January 20, 2013.
Hello, Mr. Smarty Pants zottee.
You’re the only person on earth who knows what Marxism is? That’s a laugh.
Now that you’re gone, I’ll tell you. It is part of the failed communist system of government, the overarching theory of Marx and Engels about the progression from capitalism to communism. It states that Capitalism devolves inevitably to socialism, the precursor of communism and the so-called “classless society” that is ruled by an elite few.
The fact that the devolution gets a “little” push from traitors, propagandists, and infiltrators is revealed by Alinsky’s works with which you are so very familiar, and the communist manifesto - feh.
The end result of each and every country’s attempts at establishing a communist utopia has been millions of deaths, pogroms, purges, and a ruling elite who skate around on the backs of the people, who become slaves of the collective. The utopian “classless” society turns into a murderous and oppressive dictatorship with definite classes and different rules and laws for each.
And yet they keep trying. The definition of insanity is trying something over and over trying to get a different result.
When I say someone is a marxist, I know what I’m saying, you arrogant [unladylike word]. I’m so glad you’re gone, thank God and JimRob.
I so wish you had learned this four years ago.
We'd not be stuck with this Faustian Choice now!
Sometimes a cigar is NOT a cigar!
