Former White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley acknowledged Wednesday that President Barack Obama has a "very difficult time" with the business community.
"They think he's like Marx or something," Daley said.
Daley made his comments in his first big speech since stepping down as President Barack Obama's chief of staff, giving a home town crowd insights into the White House and beyond.
How does Obama get on with business people?
"They think he's like Marx or something," Daley said. "It's like he's destroyed the world and the financial services industry as we know it. Most of the public today believes the president has been too light on the financial service sector. Nobody's gone to jail. He didn't nationalize the banks. The president has a very difficult time with the business community. Most people in business and most people who are successful are Republican that's just a fact of life."
"....The evidence that Osama bin Laden was really in that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, was so thin, Daley said, that: "Trust me, if you went to 26th and California [the Cook County Criminal Courthouse] with the evidence that Osama bin Laden was in the building, no judge would have given you a search warrant. No way. They would have looked at you and said, 'bring me something real here.' "

He’s actually like Hugo Chavez.
Obama warned us what he would do, and few listened..
It would be very interesting to have Daley sit down with a serious economist, like Forbes columnist Dr. Larry Hunter, and try to explain in exactly what ways Barack Obama isn’t “like Marx or something.”
Where would they get an idea like that?
“He has a very difficult time with the business community.” These words made my day.
He only nationalized General Motors!
Were that true, so many of them wouldn’t have voted for the Kenyan Klown.
He is not as smart as Marx I’d say he is on Mars, so removed from reality there is no clear goal or positive purpose.
Soetoro is the opiate for the illiterate.
And many successful businesses know the history of Obama’s proposals...Nationalization through taxation and regulation. There’s really no need to directly take over businesses. They believe that businesses owe their profits to the greater good. That’s why business is hoarding cash. There will be a show down.
Kind of a cross between Karl Marx and Groucho Marx, with a touch of Stalin, Lenin and Robert Mugabe thrown in.
But he wanted to.
He didn’t nationalize the banks.
In this term.
So does any right thinking American.
Definitely not
Would you ask Bill Daley to get a warrant at 26th and California? Heck, his family owns the joint.
Daley must have been doped with sodium pentothal.
Daley’s remarks show just how clueless this administration is. Businesses make decisions on investment, hiring, etc., based on PERCEPTIONS of what the future will bring. That business perceives Obama as a Marxist is why there are no jobs. Obama is the problem, and getting him out of office is the solution.
I suspect that Obama’s suppressed college transcripts reveal an affinity for Marxism-based courses. Some could argue that he is not a true Marxist, which requires a certain intellectual rigor, but just a lazy, resentful, anti-imperialist leftist “community agitator” who has never worked a hard day in his life, yet wants wants to redistribute others’ earnings by force while his wife imitates Marie Antoinette, suffocate the economy under the micro-regulatation of left-wing commissars, “crucify” the oil industry, cripple domestic energy production and raise energy costs, increase taxes to discourage success, empower unions, subsidize cronies through failed “stimulus” schemes, destroy the U.S. Constitution, socialize healthcare, treat U.S. citizens as subjects, ad nauseum). Does his behavior fit a textbook definition of Marxism? Who cares? Business knows Obama is an economic wrecking ball, Marxist or not.
