If you haven't seen the hilariously effective ad by Karl Rove's American Crossroads group that portrays Barack Obama as a celebrity president with a failed economic record, check it out in the video clip.
Mika Brzezinksi was clearly peeved at how well the ad was playing even with her liberal-dominated panel. After Obama fan Donny Deutsch, and no-conservative-he John Heilemann praised the ad, a Mika at wit's end sought to recruit HuffPo's Sam Stein to help her out. "Can you debunk some of the things in the ad?", she entreated. Stumbled Stein: "ah-h-h-h-h, sure, I guess." After offering a paltry defense that Joe Scarborough demolished, Stein was reduced to saying that Mika had invited him to try to debunk the ad, and that "I'm trying my best!"

This is funny! Watch hilarious Obama-celebrity ad by Rove’s group, then watch Mika ask liberal guest to debunk it—and he can’t! Ping to Today show list.
Great ad.
Devastatingly so.
Wow. She really is a piece of work.
For later
Does Mika seriously think people in 2012 are gonna think voting for obama is a vote against George Bush...again?
Must suck to be a Mika-lib, and wake up every day blaming Bush for America’s failing economy... with no solution in sight except elect obama.... again
I was eating my oatmeal while watching this at about 6:10am EST. Yep, she made the case that anything bad we see now is just stuff Obama inherited, and she says that anything good we see Obama should get credit for.
She is pretty dumb, those facial expressions she makes when others are talking are priceless.
Debbie does the DNC also was trying to make the same case.
As long as the economy is bad, it’s because of Bush, and whenever we see something good happening in the economy it’s because of 0bama’s policies.
I think she really believes it, based on the assumption that capitalism doesn’t work and socialism does.
What cracks me up about her is her attitude about Obama reminds me of the unfairness of what went on with the too big to fails: Privatize earnings, but socialize losses.
IOW, anything good is because Obama is a great president and leader, but anything bad is because of Bush leaving such a big mess.
Even 3.5 years into it, for crying out loud.
Thinking people will not take that seriously. ;-)

I noticed that meme on NPR the other day. They tried to make McCain be Bush in 2008 and then ran against Bush, and yesterday they were doing the exact thing with Romney.
I’ll never vote for Romney and think the country is so far gone it may not matter much who is in the oval office, but their strategy would only work with a VERY uninformed and, frankly, stupid electorate.
Sadly, there may be enough of them around.
Then there is Cris Hayes and Elmer Fuds sound alike Malisha-Harrrrish Perry. I watch these people to get an insight as to what the left is spewing and the lies are un f'en belivable.
Maybe but she could just as well just want those watching the show to believe it, concerned with what would happen if they dont. Voters might stop believing in Obama and socialism.
Republicans had/have similar problems. GWB cut taxes early on 2001/2003 but toward the end of his presidency 2007/2008 the economy unravelled. That allowed Dems to claim (falsely) that it was at least partially the tax cuts that caused it. .
Because Bush left office with a mess, Republicans are put in difficult situation claiming the Bush economy was great (he gets the credit) and bad (Dems get the blame) all at the same time.
It's called politics.

This probably is not news to any of you, but my husband and I had a work related dinner with three Obama supporters. They think it’s a slam dunk that BO will win a 2nd term. I was surprised that they don’t think it will even be close.
I’d say Democrats track the opposition (that’s us, Campers) pretty closely.
If one were a Democrat today, trying to keep tabs on how your likely opponent is gearing up to challenge you, you might go directly to sites like FR to try to understand his or her strengths.
Frankly any liberal reading here, has to believe the GOP is quite determined to destroy itself before the election is even held.
God forbid Obama should get another term, and assuming he’d willingly step down.... on Jan 19, 2017, Mika will blame the last 8 years of failure and destruction on..... W. Bush.

Fortunately, FR is the resistance, not the mainstream. In spite of all the gnashing of teeth, Romney DID WIN! There were people who identified themselves as Republicans, (I know, all RINOs), and cast a vote for Romney. No one made them, bribed them, or changed their votes.
There are a lot of us who are sick of seeing what Obama has done to this country, and will vote ABO, even if that is Romney.
Freepers can get on board, or watch from the sidelines, it’s their choice.
My husband and I watch the show specifically to catch her nutty reaction shots. She’s like a very bad silent film star! She also preens and thrusts out her chest when the camera is on her and others are talking. She’s seriously stupid.
If you hate Romney really bad,
and you live in a state “not in question”, either red or blue,
you can vote third party without putting Obama in office.
