Howdy everyone!!
Looks like a man who has no conservative accomplishments whatsoever (actually, no REPUBLICAN accomplishments whatsoever) is going to get the GOP nomination. A man whose record virtually matches Obama's in every respect, right down to his very own government mandated socialist compulsory health insurance program.
What were they thinking? It's going to be an interesting election season, but then we live in interesting times.
To the RINO GOP:
I'm not going to campaign for this phony empty suit. Not going to cheerlead for a man with an abortionist, homosexualist, statist record. Cannot possibly vote for him. But y'all gotta do what y'all gotta do. I'm not going to stand in the way of dumping the Marxist.

I walk the line a bit on this one , myself. I have a gay relative who is very conservative. He is quiet about his lifestyle and definitely does not like the in your face politics of organizations like ActUp. So I have no problem with a person identifying as gay especially if it avoids negative publicity later.
Richard Grenell being an outspoken activist for gay marriage does bother me. All I can do is remember Ronald Reagan saying, "Give me someone I can agree with 80% of the time and I can support him" and hope that I can use that to help me remember that our mission for America is to remove Barack Obama before he does any more damage to our country.
I’m sick to my almost death of the Sarah haters who post about her upcoming endorsement of Romney, hoping FR is going to blow up over it, when she has already repeatedly stated ABO. I went off on one of those trolls on that Perry thread tonight and on two trolls on separate threads yesterday.
That works too, but since I have a baby sister that's better, at least until someone finds out that two of my kids are 'older' than me... I tell them not to worry about it, it's that new math they teach and everything works out in the end...

When so-called “gay marriage” is supported by majorities of the populace and even clergy, when appeasement is the default position and suggested “best way” to deal with international threats, when our freedoms (1st and 2nd amendment, among others) are under direct attack by the feds, when pro-life positions are marginalized, when personal property is not a right but felt to be “allowed” by our government oversee-ers, when national health-care has the power to decide who lives and dies, when our borders have been opened up to the point of being a joke, ... — and on and on it goes. We have an absolute responsibility to fight back and I know that you and many, many other FReepers recognize the cause, and battle before us. Our leader Jim Robinson most especially does, too. We simply cannot, and will not, surrender because our very lives and the future for our children depends on our resistance and our DOING EVERYTHING within our power to resist.
To me, it is a matter of principles, true family values, and the recognition of God’s provision of our inalienable rights — and I will not go quietly while these rights are diminished, trivialized, ridiculed, or challenged. This is what Obama and his minions expect.
I categorically will not vote for Romney. He is a liar on virtually every important issue that I support. I’ll either write in someone else’s name or leave the top spot on the ballot empty.
If Free Republic becomes a smaller sphere, that is OK. Especially if the alternative is that we become compromised and violate conservative principles. It is much better to stay as pure as possible, and we must refuse to surrender. It may take more support for those who stay, and that is just fine with me. JimRob and our true FRiends here, have my full and complete support.
