The church is not to associate with unrepentant sinners...
and then went on to quote scripture which I do not disagree with.
I did not say anything else about what you said. Your post implies you know that the sinner is now and forever unrepentent. If not, then you would let God decide when the judgements in your scripture apply. Our job is to live by example, which most uf us dont do very well, as exampled by most all (including me at times) during this thread. Our job is to follow the most important commandment. Our job is to go out among the sinners and convert in what ever way God has called upon each of us individually to do. That is not condoning sin.
Condemning Romney because of the sin of someone he hired? Something is not Christain about that. And its a huge waste of energy.
Ever read the Screw Tape Letters by C. S. Lewis? Brilliant novel, reveals spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view.

That's interesting...
1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
If they are openly homosexual, they are unrepentant.
And we HAVE to judge. What we cannot do is condemn. If we don't judge, then there is no right and wrong and God says there IS.
If we are not to judge, then we cannot say that Mother Theresa was good and Osama Bin Laden was bad.
Please tell me what you mean by "judge". Otherwise we may be speaking at cross purposes.

Mormonism is not a Christian faith. They believe that "gods" created the earth. You should speak to the ex-Mormons on FR.
Also he is seeking guidance from an unrepentant sinner. That is not something a Believer should do.
You read something into that verse that is not there.
They are not to associate with unrepentant sinners. There is no implication in the verse they can’t ever change. But until they say they have changed and come back to the church and satisfy the minister they are genuinely repentant, it is for the safety and integrity of the church not to have them in the church body because they will not be doing anything good there.
