France: One in five vote for Marine Le Pen as Nicolas Sarkozy is beaten into second place
The Telegraph ^ | 4/22/2012 | Henry Samuel

Marine Le Pen secured the highest score for the far-Right in French presidential election history on Sunday, in a third-place finish that will present a major challenge to the two mainstream candidates Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande, left in the race.

According to official forecasts, the 43-year-old daughter of the founder of the National Front (NF) secured between 18.2 and 20 per cent of the vote, performing even better than Jean Marie Le Pen’s shock result in 2002, when he won 17 per cent.

At her press conference on Sunday night she burst into a rendition of La Marseillaise in front of delirious supporters waving the national flag.

“Whatever happens over the next two weeks, the battle for France has only just begun,” she said.

“We have exploded the monopoly of the two [main] parties of banks, finance, of multinationals, of resignation and abandonment, and carried higher than ever before the hopes of national ideas.

“Faced with an incumbent president at the head of a considerably weakened party, we are the only opposition to the ultra-liberal, lax and libertarian Left.”

Although it failed to take her into the second round, Miss Le Pen’s success will boost her influence on the French political scene, and is likely to hand her party seats in parliament later in the year. It could affect relations with minorities in France and in other European countries after a campaign based on rhetoric against immigrants, Islam and the European Union.

The winner of yesterday’s first round was the Socialist candidate François Hollande, with 28-29 per cent, who will contest the run-off against President Nicolas Sarkozy, who, with 25-27 per cent, became the first incumbent president to lose at the first hurdle.

A victory in the May 6 run-off would make Mr Hollande, 57, France’s first Socialist leader

Well somebody here scoffed at me the other day about this, on another subject.

But, if I lived in France I think I’d vote for Lepin, if I lived in the UK I’m pretty darned sure I’d vote for UKIP.

I’m a little tired, a gosh darn good bit tired of seeing white people portrayed as the devil, in our own countries.

That’s what happening in France and the UK. And it is going to happen here soon enough, one could argue it is already happening.

It needs to stop.

So, brand me a racist. As Patti Smith said “I just don’t care.”

Fabulous.

Sarkozy now has a choice: include the FN or lie about it like he did the last time.

If he tries choice 2, Hollande wins, and Sarkozy heads into history. In the meantime, Le Pen will capture even more support.

The French are fighting back against the Muslim invasion. We can all only hope they win.

I watched the French Special Gendarmerie waste the little prick who murdered the children on TV in Paris. It was 4 solid minutes of heavy machine gun fire, and no one in France mourned the SOB except the Invader population.

The vote for Le Pen is a direct result. The real French now know they cannot tolerate this murderous population in their midst, and they want their country back.

If there is a Europe wide debt bubble burst which is likely in the next few years, groups like the FN will be getting a whole lot of support in the chaos.

The FN’s nationalistic socialism is no better than internationalistic socialism.

Economic freedom and the end of welfare states are better ideas.

The rest of the sentence, after the link, reads: "to be elected since François Mitterrand in 1988."

Looks like President Glenn Quadmire (shown here campaigning for votes at a sleazy French strip joint) is getting his butt kicked by a neo-NAZI who puts a smiley face on fascism and holocaust denial, simply because she's the "only" major candidate who takes the Muslim invasion seriously (Glenn Quadmire will play lip service to the issue, then tour a Mosque and offer to distribute Qur'ans in every French household)

Words fail me. Needless to say, the "fifth French Republic" is so screwed up, they make the choices in our election look good.

I think even putting the Napoleon family back in power would be an improvement over any of their "viable" political parties. Or the descendants of Louie & Marie Antoinette for that matter!

“The real French now know they cannot tolerate this murderous population in their midst, and they want their country back.”

Can they get it? Can we get it?

Look at those scando countries, they’ve let a million (hyperbole, not math) muslims in, why?

I’m sorry folks, very sorry, I only had one, but white people need to have more children,

A few of them live here. One of Bonaparte's brothers emigrated to the US and had a lot of descendants.

Many of the guys here would vote for her! To quote the story that accompanies the above pic: Sarko and Hollande want to transform the confederation of EU to the federation of USE (United States of Europe), enslaving all Europeans to Brussels and spreading the cancer of socialism. But Marine Le Pen is determined to cut their balls! Venitis Law of Democracy: Every democracy is eventually hijacked by rabblerousers, pullpeddlers, clans of kleptocrats, bumptious bugaboos, busybodies, butterbabies, nabobs of nepotism, cranks of cronyism, pusillanimous pussyfooters, riffraffs of rascals, socialist sophists, and Machiavellian mafiosi. Democracy tends to kleptocracy.

You guys are all right about Mitterrand. Except he was no pinko- he was RED!
This article is a total hit piece on President Sarkozy, full of fake statistics and flat out lies. A love song to Marine Le Pen somehow seems the wrong tone to take. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
The “huge” “unprecedented” victory of Hollande over Sarko touted in the leftist MSM press in France, Europe and the US is a whopping 1.45%
The final vote count is:
Hollande 28.63 %
Sarkozy 27.18 %
Le Pen   17.90 %
Mélenchon 11.11%
Bayrou     9.13 %

These are the official final numbers, not the estimations in this and other articles.
As for Mitterrand, you are right about Rwanda. He is also responsible for bringing in all those immigrants from former French colonies in N Africa to work as cheap labor, and more importantly, to vote Socialist.
Now France is overwhelmed, with a stagnating economy, high unemployment, and a huge welfare state that Sarko has been trying to downsize for five years.

I can't imagine what kind of "solution" the communists have for France's economic disaster... Is the French population simply deluded?

Those who voted for Le Pen will not vote for a Socialist—they will vote for Sarko—its still up in the air.
