Sarah Palin
On this holiest of days for EcoLiberals, how about if Americans celebrate Earth Day with responsible energy development that leads to greater independence and conservation?
Theres no better way for President Obama and his administration to celebrate Earth Day than to embrace a real, environmentally sound commitment to energy independence instead of relying on foreign countries that lack environmental safeguards. One aspect of the all-of-the-above approach I have been discussing for years involves, of course, the necessity to drill, baby, drill.
Its no secret that throughout America, including the very wealthy state of Alaska, we find a storehouse of natural resources that God so benevolently dumped underfoot, just waiting to be tapped. ANWR, for example, is screaming to be used to help bring prosperity and national security to America. Indeed, there is an inherent link between energy and prosperity and energy and security. On this day, as many are focused on preserving the planet, environmentalists need not fear that the land or wildlife would suffer from the wise decision to drill here. As Alaskans know, ANWR is not some luxurious vacation spot teeming with Bambi and friends frolicking through waterfalls and flower-strewn mountainsides, as environmentalist fundraising advertisements depict it. It is a vast, remote, desolate, frozen area available to be used with a tiny drilling footprint to bring the country closer to what is clearly needed: commonsense, money-saving, job-producing energy independence. Believe me, I live in the Last Frontier because I cherish the earth and thrive in the clean air and fresh water amid our plentiful wildlife. I dont want to mess this up for future generations.
Thankfully, America has the wonderful opportunity to truly demonstrate a commitment to protecting the beautiful earth we have been blessed with. No one loves our land more than we do, and no one wants to preserve it more than we do. Our high standards for energy exploration prove this. Our guidelines are stricter than those of other nations we seem content to rely on for energy, and we benefit from reasonable guidelines here. However, caring about the earth also means caring about measures being employed globally to access resources. What better way to walk the environmental walk than to take the lead rather than sitting back while less environmentally conscious countries develop resources for usand hold us over the barrel in the process?
America isnt the only country that celebrates Earth Day, but we are the most exceptional. Its time for the greatest nation on earth to tap into its full potential, and one surefire way to do so is to tap into what is beneath this earth. Energy independence awaits, and her companions are national security and financial prosperity.
ROTFL!!
Now that’s funny, haven’t seen that before.
Especially like the new book by Kennedy, Jr...Mein Kampost!!
I had to go wash my face to regain my composure. LOL.
Still laughing.
YES! She’s the absolute best!
So far America has been really tapping into the full potential of its shale gas reserves and gas is at record lows. Now producers are slowing down because it is too cheap. We are also exporting oil.
Unless Newt pulls a miracle out of his hat, I'M VOTING FOR SARAH PALIN THIS NOVEMBER.
She's not only the best we've got, she's the best there is!!!
And we have $4.00/gal gas. Shutting down cheap coal electricty plants. Shutting down refineries in the NE.
Cheap energy drives the economy.
I agree with your every word.
In the primaries, I noted we can vote write in. I am going to check with the Court House, to make certain that in November, my write in vote will be not only counted and recorded, but also published in the newspaper for our County.
Smelly hippies crying over dead trees
...and these freaks can vote.
Drill for oil, mine for minerals, anf harvest trees for lumber and paper wnere they exist not where some liberal whack job wants you to do it!
Seeing people like that in this day and age makes me shake my head in disgust.
They have to be the result of the hippie flower children of the 60’s, at least the offspring of that movement.
The drug culture of that day has morphed into these freaks that, like you say, actually vote.
And I agree with your every word.
They can invent new carbon scrubbers for coal plants and they would still bitch.

They can invent a new catalytic converter for cars/trucks and they would still bitch.
It’s not about the environment, it’s all about control.
Here's some information on write-ins, from Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Write-in_candidateI have to do some research on how this works in my county of Tioga here in upstate New York. I don't want to be caught flat-footed if there is anything I have to do in advance.
(I can't vote the primary because I'm registered Independent, but that's okay, I'd just as soon not associate myself with any of the establishment parties, they all drive me crazy.)
The Wiki page above includes this funny story about write-ins:
A bizarre incident involving a fictitious write-in candidacy occurred in the small town of Picoazá, Ecuador in 1967. A company ran a series of campaign-themed advertisements for a foot powder called Pulvapies. Some of the slogans used included "Vote for any candidate, but if you want well-being and hygiene, vote for Pulvapies", and "For Mayor: Honorable Pulvapies." The foot powder Pulvapies ended up receiving the most votes in the election.Ooops!!! :)
They were, in the beginning, actually about independence, growing your own, self-subsistance, no or small government....pioneer like.
These spiritually inane, mentally insane individuals in the video are simply pagan.
These present day individuals are complete wack-jobs with the intent of needing someone to sacrifice to their god Baal.....that’d be anyone that disagrees with them.
They would pass their own first born through the fire over a dead tree.
Baal was Nimrod, and Mystery Babylon is real and poised for the right time.
Without Jesus Christ, not even the rational mind will be able to resist the fear they intend to foist upon this world.
Spiritual dementia will be the order of the day.
