Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This years shoot will be held at Schwenkes Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. Im thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.
Thats it for now . . .
You would have so much fun wee sister!
I'm ready.
Frog! is dat you?
No, but I guarantee I did have some similar duds back in my younger days.
Stylin’!
Now that's an understatement! LOL
Have a couple of things I need to do, will see what plays out toward the end of summer.
Count Hap and I in!
Ahhhh...a Texas suntan! :)
Hopefully we’ll have a bit more time on the bay this time.
I hope so, too! Never got to see much last time. :)
Actually that was Mustang Island
Well, I wish we’d a’ found ya! :) Sounds nice!
They have a nice fishing pier at Pelican Bay.
I wish I had time to fish.
Somebody mentioned that the range was tannerite friendly, no?
Anyways I have an idea for a moving zombie target, will have to see if I can test it out later this summer, he he
BTW LUV W, it looks like the lovely and gracious Mrs alfa6 will be there this year.
Regards
alfa6 ;>}
Be nice to be able to go a few days early and do other stuff, too. There’s a lot to see in that area. I’d love to see the USS Lexington
docked there.
Schwencke said it was fine last time although I didnt have any tannerite, I did have some small exploding targets that we used.
Mr Schwencke basically anything goes, Class III or tannerite,
Just no Booze and get the livestock off the range first.
Is that accurate Mom?
Oh, Alfa! That is great news that your lovely missus will be
with us this time. What fun we’ll have! I look forward to
meeting her and seeing you again! :)
I saw the Lex plenty in Pensacola.
They used it to train Carrier pilots to land.
It was tied up in port and the pumps were always running to keep her from sinking LOL
The Seafair sounds fun.
