“What is it with Rush's guest hosts? Mark Steyn, Mark Davis.....gads. Does he ever bother to listen to what these guys say on his show? Does he even care?”
_____________________________________________

Oh brother, Mark Davis is the worst! This guy has to be the most obnoxious, condescending, annoying sounding radio host it's ever been my displeasure to listen to! I remember a few years back Mr. Davis was disrespecting the Tea Party (trying to recall the specific issue), and asking us: “Well, how’d that work out for you?” If he had been in my swing range I would've punched his lights out! Rush knew this particular broadcast pi$$ed of his listeners, but yet he continues to regularly use Mark Davis. Wanting to give Rush the benefit of the doubt; i think his decision to use guest hosts simply stems from “Who's available?” This is not the best way to choose hosts IMHO. As you say, it really does make you wonder if he bothers to review what they've said during their fill-in time?

I think my favorite fill in host for Rush has to be Wisconsin's own Mark Belling. This guy is just a pleasure to listen to! Strong conservative, knows his stuff, and isn't afraid to take on Libs and RINOS.

Tell me about it. He's been the morning guy on WBAP in Dallas for I don't know how long, and has been irritating the hell of me the whole time he's been there.

He and WBAP recently parted ways, and I shouted, "Hallelujah!" Good riddance to bad RINO rubbish. Yesterday I heard him broadcasting from Rush's "Northern Command", and just shook my head.

Tell you who I'd like to hear on AM talk radio, and that's Ann Barnhardt. You want to talk about red hot patriot courage. That lady is so hot that I don't think liberals would have the courage to call in. If you haven't heard her, look her up on YouTube. She's frikken dynamite.

Rush himself is the only one I can even stand to listen to any more - either nationally or locally. And I think he’s been getting distracted a lot lately too. Lots of big things that could be discussed but he just won’t. Or at least not in the little time that I’ve actually listened to his show.

The “conservative leaders” have largely been threatened out of being honest any more. See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2873887/posts?page=62#62 and especially the last link to see how the content on Fox, for instance, is dictated by George Soros.

I’d rather not waste my time listening to any of them. We’ve effectively been isolated from even our so-called “leaders” because of the lawless foreign enemy combatant in our White House, and his owner/puppetmaster, George Soros.

And Soros has said there’s no difference between Obama and Romney, as far as he’s concerned. Probably thinks he can bully either one, with the media in his hands. It took exactly ONE DAY of pressure from the Boston Globe for Mitt Romney to publicly state in a press conference that government-coerced abortion was a “sounder view” of what Romneycare legally meant, and that he personally believes it is the “right thing” for Catholics to commit what they believe to be murder. What’s in quotes are direct quotes from Romney’s statement the same day that a Boston Globe article came out criticizing Romney for his previous stance that the 1975 conscience law was still in effect under Romneycare.

Putty.

There’s more chance that Romney would be shaped by conservatives (if he allowed them anywhere near them) than that Obama would, but chances are very, very slim that Romney would hold conservative counsel more urgent than the media blitz that he would face if he actually tried to do any of the things he’s promised during the primary Etch-a-Sketch phase.
