Folks, just heard, Hatch in a run off ! Liljenquist and Tea Partiers did it !!!
You want BUFFOON?
Hatch has already been there for 6 terms==36 years.
he doesn’t need a 7th term, putting him up to 42 years.
He is already a Rino. we don’t need more of them.
“GOOD JUDGES”?????
Hatch voted to confirm Kagan!!!
For that reason alone, I would never vote for him.
My goal is not to make, force or coerce others to believe what I believe. I believe in Christ and the Resurrection. I am cnot certain such belief can come about in any way other than God will that a person believe in it.
Therefore, for my time in this world, I commit to the principles that gave birth to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. I believe this commitment is best expressed in upholding and exemplifying conservative values and respecting all personal freedoms as included in the original Bill of Rights. And I believe these principles were founded by persons with a strong faith in Christ.
All other creeds are allowed to be expressed in our United States. I only insist that any creed respect the spirit and intent of our founding ideals and the best way in my view that this respect is displayed is by embracing conservative philosophy.
Yup; this IS a wonderful country; where even I can point out heresies that pop up!
While I appreciate your unsolicited reach, your grasp of the history is incorrect. If Clinton had been impeached and convicted Al Gore would have been President.
I’d never heard another Christian mention Melchizedek until the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came along. I’m glad to see he’s getting the attention he deserves.
If the CP gets that vote total it’ll be simply responsible for re-electing the worst President in our nation’s history. A horror for generations to come. Better to just skip the Presidential Election and focus on voting in the most conservative GOP candidates possible.
We really need help in getting qualified, electable conservatives to run. I’d even consider supporting some Blue Dogs here in Illinois if I knew where to find some.
Agreed. I was hoping to get some on-the-ground insight into Dan Liljenquist, instead the spillway from the RF opened and sluiced this thread to mud.
Inject your prudent, wise, realistic crap elsewhere.................
Is it Dutch? Jewish? Austrian? Just the name sounds unelectable among the uninformed. I'm afraid people in UT don't even know their orrin has opposition.
I honestly don't understand your intent. Would you like to clarify?
I went back to my original post which had to do with replacing Sen. Hatch with a more conservative Mormon. Seems like a wise, prudent, and realistic thing to do out there. Since the Republican nominee is almost certainly going to win Utah, let's get the most conservative candidate possible, and in Utah that's probably going to be a Mormon.
To avoid any possible misunderstandings, I am absolutely opposed to Mitt Romney, not so much because of his religion (which I believe is a cult) but because of his liberalism and flip-flopping. His long history of support for abortion and more recent support for homosexual marriage make him unacceptable. At best he's a flip-flopper. At worst he's a lying liberal. In either case he can't be trusted to appoint Supreme Court justices.
I frankly don't know what I'm going to do this November if Romney is the nominee. My only hope left at this point is that Newt Gingrich shocks everyone with much better than expected showings in today's races as the last conservative left standing, and that his campaign takes off in the remaining states. If that doesn't happen we're going to have two horrible choices in November, and I'm not at all sure I can bring myself to vote for Romney even if the alternative is Obama.
It was sarcasm
OK... thanks!
I thought I’d better ask, just in case. I was occasionally accused of being a Romney supporter last year for reasons I never did understand. Free Republic woke me up several years ago to just how bad Mitt Romney’s views really are, and I greatly appreciate that.
