SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla.
WFTV just learned Friday morning about a picture of gunman George Zimmerman, taken just three minutes after the shooting that left 17-year-old Trayvon Martin dead.
The picture reportedly shows cuts on the back of Zimmerman's head, with blood trickling down.
Zimmerman, who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin on February 26 in a gated Sanford community, claimed he killed Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of Martin.
The picture would seem to back up Zimmerman's claim that Martin slammed his head against the sidewalk.
That picture could be part of the evidence shown to the judge in court Friday morning during Zimmerman's bond hearing.
ABC News is breaking more on this story on Good Morning America at 7 a.m. on Channel 9. We'll have more on Central Florida's TV 27 at 7 a.m.
Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin's parents will come face to face for the first time with Zimmerman on Friday.
Zimmerman is due in a Seminole County courtroom for a bond hearing at 9 a.m.
After a week and a half behind bars, Zimmerman may be walking out of jail to await trial on a second-degree murder charge.
The parents of 17-year-old Martin are expected in the courtroom during the bond hearing.
Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara will likely argue to Judge Kenneth Lester that Zimmerman is not a flight risk, pointing to fact that Zimmerman turned himself in immediately when charges were filed.
Judge Lester must decide if Zimmerman will be offered bond.

That is evil.
The NBP's will be searching for Zim. Count on it. They need him to die before he is exonerated.
He might already have a safe house chosen for him. I doubt he would stay with his parents. Now, back to the black woman who shot a white mom to death and kidnapped her 3 DAY OLD baby boy.
Weren't some documents sealed? I think it might have been by pros or judge request and that GZ’s lawyer agreed. Maybe this photo was among sealed documents.
Looks as if they are going to secretly release him and possibly move him out of state. His life is definitely endangered. And still no investigation of the bounty or the nbp. Damn them all.
My point in my previous post was that when an armed person is viciously attacked, there is always the possibility of being killed with your own gun. Police know this possibility very well.
The Judge is honest, smart and strong. The smoke, mirrors and bullshot of the Prosecutor didn't fly with him at all.
Defense attorney, Mark O'Mara, was superb. If the case goes to trial, he'll make mincemeat out of the shifty, stuttering, evasive lead investigators who work out of the office of Madame Corey DeFarge, DA.
O'Mara got the bail he wanted. The Prosecutor overreached with a million, O'Mara deliberately went low-ball as he could with 15,000....and the judge went with 150 thousand....which is probably what the defense was hoping for in the first place. Good strategery, indeed.
I was appalled to see Mr. Zimmerman forced to demeanly shuffle in shackles, chain around the waist and feet chained also. Where was the iron ball and the black and white-striped convict jumpsuit? And does anyone remember the double-murderer OJ being in full shackles during his trial? If he was, please set me straight.
However, all in all, a good day for George Zimmerman....and Lady Justice.

Per Mark Nejame, CNN legal analyst, the lead investigator said under oath they don’t know if Zimmerman started the fight or returned to his vehicle and now it is memorialized and locked in forever!!!!! Furthermore, the investigator said he did not bring his paperwork because he did not know this was going to be a trial. Nejame said..OH MY GOSH!!!
Clearly evidence to support some of Zimmerman’s story. It will help. But, the real issue is going to be, essentially, “who started it”. The Prosecutor will argue (in the SYG hearing) that it was Martin who was acting in self-defense. No one argues that there was a confrontation between the two.
The issue is going to be, will the jury believe that Zimmerman broke off the pursuit. If they don’t, he’s guilty of 2nd degree, if they do believe he broke off pursuit, then all bets are off.
Certainly not an easy case for the Prosecution. I will also be very interested to hear the witnesses in more detail. This case is really going to be set up in the preliminary hearings MUCH more than in the trial itself.
Thanks for pointing this out to me. Given my background, I certainly am fascinated by the case.
Much appreciated.
It would be entirely reasonable to fear for your life with that much head damage, and most objective people would recognize that. It would also be reasonable to fear for your life when you're being rushed by a football player and you're not on a football field, even before any damage is inflicted.
Well that is why I am here because of work. There are many fine parts of Houston that I like. The violence is starting to outweigh the benefits though. Not to mention the horrible rush hour traffic.
I dont know about Laredo, it is probably just as bad. Although many years ago I enjoyed going across the border there as a kid. Back then you didn’t have to dodge cartel bullets.
Just one point...this wasn’t a trial.
If this nothing case ever gets to trial, Zimmerman will not be in shackles.
I’m presuming anyone there accused of murder would have been treated as Zimmerman was at his hearing.
We all know the charge is absurd. But it is the operative charge.
Anyone else care to weigh in on this point?
Pardon me, but it matters what Zimmerman was “pursuing” for.
The defense will have a field day with that. Zimmerman called the police non emergency number and STAYED with them.
Who does that who intends to attack someone???????????????????????
The evidence will SHOW that Zimmerman was watching and verifying Martin’s location for police.
He considered Martin’s behavior suspicious, given the recent break ins.
But not for his personal involvement, but to help the cops.
All of this is easy to show in court.
Don’t know if anyone told you, but the defense went after the words “Zimmerman confronted Martin”, and got the witness to admit the afidavit and filings contained no evidence, none, that Zimmerman confronted Martin.
Want to explain how the prosecutor will somehow invent such evidence between now and a trial...if this zero of a case ever comes to one??
Thanks for that link.
I’m looking for a transcript of the hearing ... nothing up yet.
CNN ... prosecution totally unprepared. Investigator now on record.
I am sure the race hustlers are right now planning the summer riots....
Good to see O’Mara is getting up to speed on the case :-)
“The Department of Just Us..............”
Hrrrumph... should be known as The Department of Injustice.
On Martin? Martin had two lacerations on his head? Or Zimmerman? The funeral director said Martin had no injuries.
