Hillary and Bill Clinton are at the top of their game. Their daughter, Chelsea, not so much. Why is the "dork diva" of TV news floundering?
We're in something of a "Clinton renaissance" right now, says Michael Hastings at BuzzFeed. Hillary is a widely respected Secretary of State and "officially Internet famous," and Bill is a "universally beloved" philanthropist and elder statesman. "Then there’s Chelsea Clinton," who finally stepped into the spotlight in December as a special NBC correspondent. Critics call her occasional on-air "Making a Difference" segments boring and anonymous NBC staffers and executives tell Hastings that Clinton is "terrible" on camera, entitled, and short on journalistic chops. Why is TV "dork diva" Chelsea not sharing in the Clinton glow? Here, five theories:
1. Clinton has no TV or journalism experience...

I would specifically not walk across the street to see her do a pole dance, in fact I’d turn around and walk the other way to avoid it.

I now no longer know who is actually uglier...

I’d watch a Pole dance but not her....
I don’t watch tv and have never caught Chelsea’s act. I imagine that she’s a reasonably bright gal who, unless she has natural dramatic talent, is probably pretty dull on camera. There’s a craft to any performance art, including tv presentations, and one is unlikely to walk in cold and do it well. In addition, viewers are bright enough to know Chelsea is at best just a celebrity gimmick hire, and likely a swapped favor with her parents. That would put her in a hole with a lot of viewers before she opens her mouth.

There can be more than one sow at the trough.
Rational and insightful analysis - as far as it goes. But I'm not thinking Obama will be "dumped" - I'm thinking he'll be barred through various new State laws requiring proof of natural born status to be on the ballot. If that happens (and it's already starting though lawsuits around the country to enforce the new laws that are now in place), Hillary will be the replacement Rat candidate.
Could we just have a closeup of her face as the last reason?

Not to worry. Undoubtedly Big Hill is likely paying her salary! Thus, Chelsea was able to call for the job, via her agent, and summoned the networks to her selfsome.
Even bad publicity is better than NO publicity...
They are NY voters who have been falling for carpetbaggers for years.

If Chelsea Clinton’s wasn’t Bill and Hillary’s daughter she certainly would not have had a 6 figure job on Wall Street or a TV gig. She might be a good kid, but she is no rocket scientist or super model.
I remember the announcement that Hil was running for that seat but everybody had known that Lowey was the easy winner for that seat.
As Hil announced, Lowey was in the background and did not look happy at all.
It was kind of creepy. Monaghan did not like the Clintons either.
