While everyone is in the weeds counting delegates and wondering who Santorum will endorse (it will be Romney), few people are talking about the degree to which the GOP will be emboldened if Romney gets the nomination. It will be a sign to them they can get the evangelical, social and fiscal conservatives to fall in line, all they have to do is wait them out.
A few days ago, Mark Levin said he was disgusted with the Republican establishment, right after he said, 'we conservatives have to work together to pull out a victory for Mitt Romney, just one of the presumed conservatives who have fallen in line with the GOP this past week. Establishment Republicans now know without a doubt that the base, its leaders and luminaries, can get to the point of total disgust with the GOP, and they will still fall in line.
Last cycle, Huckabee helped split the conservative vote, and make a path for the squishy one. This time it's Romney in the its my turn circle Next year it will be Santorum. And Santorum will be sufficiently and properly neutered if he gets his turn next, count on it.
And where is last cycles Santorum, Mike Huckabee, who played the evangelicals big time in 2008, right now? Hosting a radio show competing with Rush.
We are at the breach, and there is still time, though barely. If people like Levin, DeMint, Sarah, etc., would jump in now and they wont grab this moment, secure it and swing it back full bore at the GOP, the King Georgers would get a message loud and clear, they can't take the base for granted. And maybe the next time they think about trying their Karl Rove Gambit, they won't.
We can't look for help or expect anyone with power to give us a hand. We can either stand up and get in the battle, or hand the GOP another reward, a compliant conservative base, whom the GOP already despises and take for granted.

Never forget that George Soros told Fox and the talk radio networks that if they reported on Obama’s eligibility he would annihilate them. They’ve been reading off his teleprompter about eligibility from Day One.
Soros just changed what the teleprompter said. Now it says, “Romney has to be the GOP candidate and we have to support him.” Why now rather than waiting until after we actually have a GOP candidate? Because Soros wants to make sure nobody has the courage to support Newt and defeat Romney.
IOW, this is Soros trying to tell you and me to give up because our “heroes” already have. But our “heroes” have been taken hostage. And that cat is out of the bag now. Sheriff Joe’s posse has verified that those threats took place, and now the Hillary folks are revealing the kinds of crap that Soros pulled on them in the 2008 primary - the crap he’s now pulling on the 2012 GOP primary, most likely.
We need to expose it, for all we’re worth. People need to know we are dealing with ruthless thugs - AND that Soros planned to destroy the US economy, which Obama agreed to do.
Those Hillary people who were shafted so badly last time - they have lots of reasons to support Ron Paul. If they change their registration to republican in order to support Ron Paul, every vote that Ron Paul gets is one vote that Romney doesn’t get.
This is why Sarah Palin wants Ron Paul still in the race. He does have something to add, and his supporters deserve to have their voice heard too. In the end, if we’re going to hear all the voices that deserve to be heard, we’re going to have to have one serious, hefty dialog at the GOP Convention.
We need to point out to people why all our leaders seem to have abandoned us - because they are held hostage. We need to point out that it is just an attempt by George Soros to demoralize us, and he’s attempting it because he KNOWS WE CAN DO IT - we can keep Romney from getting half of the remaining delegates!
We need to keep telling people the truth about Soros’ threats and takeover of Fox and other “conservative” media, as well as the lawlessness from the 2008 democratic primary and Soros’ choice of Obama because he agreed to help with Soros’ plan to destroy the US economy.
We are getting flak because we are above the target and they know it full well. Full steam ahead!!
The trouble is that most of the “unbound” delegates are part of the GOP-e. They are unlikely to peel away from Romney without a lot of effort.
The politicians can make their life a living hell using the FCC.Levin has been forced to get on the romney bandwagon just like every other supposed conservative talkshow host.It sure as hell happened here in georgia.I dont listen to any of them anymore and wont ever again.
Perry is not as strong as he once was, but he hasn't gone wobbly yet. And, I am probably in a minority, but I am getting a little tired of Palin's winks and tweets from teh sidelines. She needs to get on the battlefield. I am going to try and find time to write her this week, get the best addresses I can for her, and ask others to do the same...
Cain, one of Newt's endorsers has said he would support Romney...
JC Watts, Thompson, the others, they all need to be contacted, supported and encouraged... that is, if encouragement from the nobodies would mean much to them...
Do you know that old old christian hymn - one of the oldest in the southern church?
"And all you see before you is a hill, and a mountain after that, and then a road with stones to cut your feet..."
We are there, we are there... may He walk with us.

Vote as if this was for homecoming king if you like, but with Soros’ communist-Islamist alliance focused on destroying this country what I want is a Churchill, regardless of what I think of his personality. We are WAY beyond the point of having the luxury of just LIKING a person be the reason to vote for them.
It’s not too late! We just need to keep Romney from getting half of the remaining delegates. We can do this!
We’re down to three players. Finally it will be conservative v liberal, rather than conservative v conservative. If we just hold true to our conservative principles and don’t give up too soon, from here on out it should be the conservative winning because the vote isn’t split.
And we should encourage the PUMA’s from the 2008 dem primary to switch to R’s so they can vote for Ron Paul. They’ve been through enough lawless crap from Soros that Ron Paul’s points about Constitutional protections are resonating with them. Anybody who loves the rule of law should be glad to see them realizing they need to fight the lawless thugs however they can. They see the same lawlessness that Soros and the dem establishment did in 2008 is being done by the GOPe in 2012.

I am working the night shift after a long long day and I can't give this the real thorough reading I would like right now, but I am going to and pass it around, if that's okay with you... and you can tell me how to credit it... because the troops are getting demoralized, not giving up but they are down.
What do you make of the fact that it's been reported Paul is reaching out to the evangelicals? Is there anything there at all for him?
I have a little group of young grassroots I supervise and I posted the following to them on Thursday, I think, because they really loved Mark Levin and were very demoralized as was I...
It deals with what you are talking about, THE FEAR FACTOR...
TRUE COLORS TIME
If you listened closely to Sarah tonight on Levins program, she was pretty much endorsing Romney I suspect she will hold her cards, wont jump into the fray until the convention, where she will get maximum exposure for her particular agenda And then she will play the good citizen role and support Romney Ive been worried about her since she showed up so ungraciously during the summer to rain on the parade of some of the more conservative candidates
The same applies to her as everyone else... Not fighting - not helping Newt right now is the same as voting for Obama.
I want you to think about something if all these people who call themselves conservative who want to be thought of as conservative all joined together from Limbaugh to Sarah to Bachmann all the others and in one voice said, No, we wont and worked their hearts out for Newt starting this moment right now - instead of CYAing it there would be no doubt who the next President would be - It would be Newt. It will still be Newt. But look what they are doing look at the maneuvering, the shifting, the caving. In the space of a week the conservative world political and otherwise has become a cluster of Bart Stupak clones.
Even Santorum, what did he do? Faced with possible/probable defeat, he caved, he ran home he didnt like the amount of debt he was accumulating. He couldnt see the math allowing him victory. So. He. Quit.
How does Mark Levin any of them ever complain about or criticize Boehner again? Or McConnell or the Republican establishment? They are just as weak as spineless just as compromised now.
True Colors Time.
America flickers, a lighthouse about to be engulfed by darkness. People are folding caving collapsing all around us - and we are being chided for not being realists
Realists on the banks of the Delaware would have tried to convince those First Patriots it was too cold too dark too much ice the pragmatic thing was to wait for another day when conditions were better - the risks not so great
Exactly who is behaving like George Washington right now? And who are the cowards?
Next time..
Four years from now they will look back and call these times carefree like the play of children it will never be easier than it is right now. Next time - it will be harder where will the repurposed courage come from then?
It is always going to require biting down hard while terror circuits through you facing annihilation; not facing impossible mathematical odds, facing annihilation.
Who will there be then to face down the kind of raw fear that cakes the back of the throat and jellies out muscles and nerves? Who? And where will they be found?
They have Newt now experienced, battle hard, for the most part fearless, doesnt know how to quit there is no one else now; there never was. There will be no one else the next time if there is a next time because next time not even a Newt will be sufficient.
The fainting conservatives see the GOP establishment its power everywhere and deep arrayed around them - able to twist events - turn people to their will the same way that American soldier saw the British fleet in Boston Harbor as if all of London was afloat before his eyes. .
Yet they carried on. A rag tag bunch one step ahead of annihilation. It should be a song in your hearts by now.
They carried on and today I am writing to you about them. And their True Colors Time. I know everyone around us is fainting - finding excuses for fainting - trying to make their fainting seem purposed - or holy - pragmatic. But, they are still just fainting.
Fret not.
Faint not.
Fear not.
Oh, okay. So finally I see some connection, and that really makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
But later on, as the flight was coming to an end, the woman said to the man, Are you seriousone million dollars? To which the man replied Yes. So the woman agree.
Just then the man said to her, Thats good. But youll have to forgive me, I dont really have a million dollars. So will you take ten dollars instead?
The woman was outraged. Just what do you think I am! The man answered That has already been established. We are only haggling over the price.
Okay, that explains the negotiations. But does that mean they never believed what they said they believed?
Maybe and maybe not. So what should we do? Take our ball and go home? I'm willing to put aside Newt's "baggage" for the sake of our country. His personal problems will not cause divorce...that's already happening without help from him!
We absolutely need someone with experience, facts and fearlessness to stand against Obama. My reliable insight tells me that Gingrich has the best chance of making BO a one-term president.
(I was quite surprised to learn, in the last few months, that my savvy sister-in-law completely agrees with me, as does my youngest brother.)
Well, November is a ways away... for now you could do what a lot of us are doing, mix your prayers with faith and action, and your very best, and let God do the rest!
My Amen to all your prayers.
The thing is, butterdezillion, if the base wanted him to be the nominee, then he would be.
It’s very hard for me to see what happened to Newt, but something definitely happened. As smart as he is, he was unable to convince a large portion of GOP voters that he would make the best candidate for president.
Replacing a weak candidate who still doesn’t have enough delegates with another weak candidate who has even less delegates is a risky move IMO.
The sad fact is that the GOP is not producing conservative leaders and neither is America for that matter. What we are producing is debt, communists, homosexuals, racists and criminals.

Wow! There's a lot there to chew on... I copied the link, and this time won't lose it! :)
I don't think Newt is going after Romney voters though, everybody else, but not specifically them...
A bit early in the contest for that, don't you think? He's already rolled for Romney before he's won the nomination. That's a pure and simple case of throwing in with the devil, my friend. Levin has sold out.
How can any true conservative vote for this weathercock???

A: None of them. Newt will be there!
pretty lame, but you know what I mean :)
I don’t know if it’s too early or not, windflier.
It definitely looks to me like Romney is going to get it.
We could fight this out until August, or even after, and gives ourselves a good one to two months to attack Obama.
What is more important in this race, true conservatism or true communism?
I’ll tell you this much, we aren’t ever going to get true conservatism from the GOP, ever. We are definitely going to get true communism from Obama II.
Levin has always said that he would vote for an orange juice can over Obama, so we can maybe get Beck to make up some T-shirts that say-
Mitt Romney, he’s as good as an orange juice can...
Although I personally think an orange juice can would be infinitely superior to a Mitt Romney presidency.
And to those who say a Mitt Romney presidency would destroy the GOP, I say nonsense, the GOP is already dead, and America herself has got about 5 minutes tops.
As governor, Romney worked to reassure liberals
“Mitt Romney was firm and direct with the abortion rights advocates sitting in his office nine years ago, assuring the group that if elected Massachusetts governor, he would protect the states abortion laws.
Then, as the meeting drew to a close, the businessman offered an intriguing suggestion that he would rise to national prominence in the Republican Party as a victor in a liberal state and could use his influence to soften the GOPs hard-line opposition to abortion.
He would be a good voice in the party for their cause, and his moderation on the issue would be widely written about, he said, according to detailed notes taken by an officer of the group, NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts.
You need someone like me in Washington, several participants recalled Romney saying that day in September 2002, an apparent reference to his future ambitions.
Romney made similar assurances to activists for gay rights and the environment, according to people familiar with the discussions, both as a candidate for governor and then in the early days of his term.”
