Convicted drug dealer Kimball Clark, 45, was arrested for new drug-related charges and attempted to use cash from his EBT card to post bail, reports the Boston Herald.
Police officers overheard him using his one phone call to ask an unidentified person to get my EBT card and go to the ATM and get the money to bail me out, get me outta here tonight, according to the police report.
Conservatives, such as state Rep. Shaunna OConnell, have longed attempted to minimize welfare abuse with heavy pushback from colleagues and she feels vindicated by Clarks actions:
Its another outrage, she said, When we were on the EBT Card Commission, I fought to get bail bondsmen on that list of places where people could not use their EBT cards. They fought me on it and told me people cant use their EBT cards in that way.

Another Obama "son"?
It would be a miracle if enough people saw this "lesser evil" reason to take down these laws.
If I had a convicted drug dealing son, he would look like Kimball Clark.
And in today’s Boston Herald, a Dem. state rep. who is pushing for EBT reform (yes I know, far fetched) had someone offer him his EBT card for 50 cents on the dollar.

>>Holmes was at the Roxbury Stop & Shop by Grove Hall last Sunday when someone approached him asking if he wanted to buy the mans EBT card. His price was 50 cents on the dollar, Holmes said. Its not a surprise to me.
The government should outsource the job of preventing EBT card abuse and fraud to one of the major commercial credit card issuers, like Citi or Amex.
Their technology tracks spending for every cardholder, can restrict access to individual merchants and designated merchant categories, can report data in a thousand ways, and integrates completely into the organization accounting system.
The contract award should have a term of five years, after which time the contract should be put out to bid with all the relevant card program providers.
That this hasn’t been done is completely amazing to me.
Why do I get the feeling his mama was looking at a Kotex box when naming him?
What’s the problem? Doesn’t the B of EBT stand for Bail? Everclear, Bail, Tobacco?
