Obama Faces Discontent at Americas Summit

... Barack Obama is among dozens of heads of state who are in Colombia for the Summit of the Americas....
While the U.S. president remains personally popular throughout the region, he faces growing discontent from his counterparts over a number of issues, including Washington's decades-long fight against the illicit drug trade...
Washington's influence in Latin America has waned since the last summit in 2009, as the region increases its economic and diplomatic ties with emerging economies such as China and India.

Obama continues to lower America's prestige in this hemisphere. He, unlike the flawed men in the Republican party, hates this country.

The only discontent the leftist friends of nobama feel is that he is a loser who just might not be successful turning the USA int a marxist hellhle. Maybe the petulant fool, nobama, can find a golf course or tw at the summit so as to relieve his apparent stress.

The very well spoken President of Columbia was interviewed by Bret and gave Obama down the road. He spoke not of the President but of America. His message was clear however. Obama is not paying attention to change down south.

Newt is the only one capable of delivering THAT punch on an internationally televised debate.
There is no doubt nor question that the planet is watching the US right now and no clearer figure(s) in the world's crosshairs as zero, mittens and Newt.
We'd better realize that.
The USA is not the only nation at stake, here.
(BTW, HAS anyone shaved zero's head, yet? ... jus' askin' )

It is interesting that even though the USA has poured billions of dollars into the countries of Central and South America over probably 100 years, have protected them, educated their scholars in our universities, trained their armed forces, and on and on, yet their response has always been to thumb their noses at us. And the bucket loads of money and expertise has come from both government AND private sources. But, anti-Americanism has always ruled the day in Latin America.

I thought you were speaking of the President of Columbia University.
The country is “Colombia”.

We’ve provided vast amounts of material assistance, but the spiritual, moral and constitutional guidance has been noticeably absent, and without it, any amount of matériel is simply worthless.

The War on Drugs is working... If you look only at the US. Where it’s ugly is in the Latin American countries. Personally, I would like to keep the ugliness out of the US.

“The War on Drugs is working...”
No it’s not.
“If you look only at the US. Where its ugly is in the Latin American countries. Personally, I would like to keep the ugliness out of the US.”
It’s already there.
