The proof is that she knew it as well and chose not to spend the time money and energy on a certain loss.

To make such a statement is not to discredit nor demean her outstanding conservative political philosophy.

Totally absurd. Didn't you notice the way the primary turned out? Palin most likely would've won it. She would have become the obvious choice for conservatives to coalesce around by February...having enough so-con bonafides for the Santorum people and enough pragmatism and populism for the Newt people. If Romney tried to nail her with attack ads, they probably would've backfired badly, because he would've looked even more obviously like a progressive leftist, them having just got done doing the same to Palin recently.
