Romney's wife gave money to Planned Parenthood (2007 article)
ABC News ^ | 5/9/2007 | Rick Klein

Former Gov. Mitt Romney's wife, Ann, gave an $150 donation to the abortion-rights group Planned Parenthood in 1994, at a time when Romney considered himself effectively "pro-choice," the Romney campaign confirmed today. Campaign spokesman Kevin Madden said Ann Romney had no recollection of the circumstances under which she donated the money. He said an internal review of Romney's personal records has not turned up any instances in which Romney, a Massachusetts Republican, himself sent money to groups that supported expanded abortion rights. "The governor has not donated to Planned Parenthood or abortion-rights groups," Madden said. Madden said he did not know whether the former governor was aware of the donation, but he noted that Romney had been publicly committed to upholding a woman's right to an abortion until late 2004. "This is an issue that the governor has changed his position on, that the governor was wrong on in the past and believes he is right on now," he said.

People that post stuff like this (anti Romney) must want Obama to go back in. Come on people, I don’t like Romney either, but we must get behind him to kick the commie out of the White House. Let’s not beat ourselves here. I think I would vote for anyone short of Satan over Obama.

"I think I would vote for anyone short of Satan over Obama."

I'll see you on Satan and raise you.
Meaning I would vote for Satan over ZERO.

For those here that want to tell me Romney is Satan. Don't bother. Read what Romney did for one of his employees whose daughter went missing in NY.
Satan would not have done what Mitt did.

People don’t seem to get that it’s game over. They think actually Newt is going to win. Or that we’ll have chaos at the convention. What will that accomplish? They’ll end up with another candidate like Jeb or Christie who they will find equally unacceptable, I’m sure. People can’t seem to grasp that the voters have been having their say - which brings us where we are.

Exactly, blame it on the Republican elite (Whatever that is) or anything else. No matter who gets the nomination some of us Republicans will not like that candidate.
Then we have to ask ourselves do we want another 4 of what we have now? Dear God. Can you imagine what ZERO would be like with no worry about re election?

glad to hear it, but at the same time Mitt and wife were not, so does not give me much comfort. As far as I am concerned the really only concern is who will he appoint to the Supreme Court?

Is it going to be true Conservative/social Conservatives that put him over the top, or is it going to be liberal moderates that win the day for him? Who will he be most interested in for his re election in 2016?

I have NO confidence that he will appoint a true Conservative to the bench.

If he is elected, he could shore up his Conservative credentials in one pick of the supreme court, but will he do it?? If not then nothing really matters

She's as fake as Mitt, she just does a better job of hiding it. Sorry, I cannot support these people. They both have absolutely NO respect for the unborn (RomneyCare abortions, donating to those baby killers, how else can they spell it out to us?).

If Romney is the nominee the Republican party no longer stands for the right to life.

And the Romneys pretend to be pro-life.

I wonder what their stance is on military service. I don't believe there has been any of it in the entire Romney family for himself, his father, or his five sons.

Shouldn't we know the truth about the product they want us to buy? Yes, they are not the Obamas, but they have their own terrible flaws. A President Romney will fail the conservative movement, maybe not the scale of an Obama but he he will fail the movement. How is that known, well he has done it constantly in the past, and 59% of primary voters so far have done there homework and know Romney is not a conservative. Will he be nominee, sure. But we don't have to like or admire this guy who has no true core of beliefs. But no, I am not going to live with blinders on thinking this guy is more than he is.

Who might that be? My favorite was Duncan Hunter. He is a true conservative.
