If you know this area or turn up different information please post it. The affidavit specifically stated that he was coming back from a 7-Eleven after purchasing Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea. I remain unconvinced.

What if Trayvon was roving the neighborhood looking for “opportunity” and saw Zimmerman watching him? Do you suppose that maybe the Skittles toting the little boy who punched the bus driver may have wanted a piece of Zimmerman for trying to stop him?

This is what I’ve thought. He wasn’t just walking thru, he was acting suspiciously, GZ checked him out

He was new to the area and as a burglar he was casing near-future “prospects”.

Zimmerman’s instincts were right.

Per the American Thinker, a video of Martin at the 7-Eleven exists. Accounting for Martin's whereabouts from the time he left 7-Eleven until Zimmerman spotted him is another matter:

"But a video does exist. The public relations director of 7-Eleven told me that, according to the company's manager of security, a store camera captured an African-American male (she wouldn't commit to "young") purchasing a bag of Skittles and a can of tea (she wouldn't say that it was "Arizona" tea). The hard disk with the video was removed after the story broke, and it has been subpoenaed by investigators for the state and/or county. The company has not made it available to the media. The public relations director could not specify the exact time of the purchase but said it was between 6:00 and 6:30.

The 7-Eleven, according to maps.google, is 0.8 miles from the entrance to The Retreat at Twin Lakes, a 16-minute walk. There is not much to see or do on Rinehart Road on a Sunday night, and it was raining hard. Even if he was not bringing the tea and Skittles to his stepbrother but was eating and sipping en route, Martin should have arrived back at his dad's fiancée's place before 6:50, and much earlier if he left the store closer to 6:00 than 6:30. According to logs (now deleted from the department's website), Zimmerman called the Sanford police at 7:09:34.

Just as Martin did not go straight home after he first spotted the neighborhood watch captain, so, too, he apparently did not go directly to Brandy Green's apartment from the 7-Eleven. What exactly he was doing between the time he entered the gated community and the moment Zimmerman noticed him will probably never be known. Though there may be some plausible explanation for his behavior, the idea that he was simply returning from a selfless errand when he caught Zimmerman's eye seems less and less likely."

What if they did have 7-11 video and it showed cute little Trayvon shoplifting some goods? Would that video disappear?

There is a 7-Eleven much closer, next to a SAM’s club less than a mile. What needs to be investigated is how the Trayvon Martin movement got started...out of DC by folks not related to the family, well after the shooting. I personally believe the Obama Administration and DNC were behind this movement.

From the 7-11 store locator the store in Sanford, FL is at

7-ELEVEN #25063
100 NORTH FRENCH AVE
SANFORD,FL 32771 (407) 322-6383

Some are saying that Zimmerman lived in Twin Lakes community:

Mapquest shows:

From: 100 NORTH FRENCH AVE sanford, FL

To: Twin Lakes, Sanford, FL

Distance: 5.35 miles

At 3:00AM he is going to walk 10.7 miles round trip to a 7-11?

What am I missing?

Almost immediately, within around thirty-seven minutes after the shooting, Zimmerman was already waiving his right to an attorney. He then proceeded to interview with the police for several hours without any legal representation present.

The very fact that he did this, stupid as it may have been, and they STILL don't have squat to charge him with (Dershowitz says the arrest affidavit was ‘irresponsible And unethical’) means that they aren't ever going to have squat to charge him with because he did nothing other than fight for his life.

Of even more interesting possibilities is that the “kid” was carrying a box of Skittles he already had on him.

Look up Skittles Party on wikipedia— a party where punks bring a skittles box full of prescription narcotics or stimulants for games at the party. Maybe he didn’t go to a 7-11 at all, despite what the affidavit said.

Just curious-—this was a “gated community” wasn’t it? If so, most of those communities that I have come across were either “manned” by someone in a gatehouse, or at the least a literal gate that you used either a key pad or some other method to gain access. So if that’s the case, unless he lived there or had friends who invited him, wasn’t he trespassing?

the 7 11 survellience tapes do show a black man (not a boy) making a similar purchase.

The real question is what took him so long to get home. I don’t know about Stanford, but most 711’s are the place one goes to get one’s drugs....I used to meet all my druggie patients loitering around our “after hours convenience store” when I would pick up milk in the evening after work....presumably they weren’t there buying skittles.

And we keep getting told this was a “gated community”, as if it were full of 1 million dollar homes. No, it was a small community of houses. If it was a gated community, doesn’t that mean security patrols (paid for)?
