Glenn Beck has been in Texas only a few months, and he's already talking big.
Now, he wants to address America from his own Oval Office.
Lest anyone fear that something has suddenly gone drastically wrong in our country, Beck's Oval Office is a movie set in Irving.

Saying he will "deliver the speeches the president should have delivered," Beck promised to "activate the sleeping giant" of Christian conservatives in America with speeches from his new set on the Studios' Stage A.
Mainly, of course, Beck's goal is to motivate subscribers to pay $9.95 a month for his show, broadcast daily to about 300,000 viewers via computer, iPad, iPhone or other household appliance.

Beck said he hopes to hire 1,000 workers in Irving for an entrepreneurial project.
It's named American Dream Labs.
He's right about the dream part

You and those people mention can support whom ever you want, I will not vote for Romney.
Yawn. Who is surprised by this? Glenn Beck only motivates me to get up and turn the radio off.
It is an exaggeration of how unAmerican Obama is. There are times I tune him out, but think he is on the right track trying to get the message out beyond cable and network news.
he has covered what others do not. Recently talked about how Cass Sunstein has helped make so many regulations, that the average person or business can be charged and arrested for minor issues.
Beck was born and raised Catholic, the faith that Jesus started himself. He left the Catholic Church to become a Morman. A church started by some drunken shyster named Joe Smith, who had 14 or 15 wives. Take nothing this character says seriously.
Facts yes. Assumptions no. Thanx for asking.
II is one of the earliest of the "I'm not a mormon but.." FR defenders of all things mormon.
Exaggerated but for the most part true. I'd have changed "all" for "some". :-)
II, how's about YOU provide proof that tsowell fan is in error. It would be quite entertaining.
Sure. Beck said he supported Santorum for awhile. That was easy.
Bizarre thread about a bizarre premise.
Yeah. He’s said all of that before. If he comes up with something new, I’m sure it will make headlines.
Fyi. Now that Santorum and Gingrich have failed I’m all in on Romney. I’ll have to plug my nose but it’ll be so much more tolerable as I watch the “anti certain religion bigots” on FR squirm and foolishly become rabid in their postings. Its great entertainment. :-)
Interesting that you'd put it that way, after constant entreaties for civility on another thread. I like Palin, Rush, Levin, Perry, and Newt because they echo the way I think---not because my philosophy is "attached" to them. I imagine anyone here would say the same.
Those folks have made it known they will support the eventual nominee. I understand their reasoning while disagreeing with it. But I'm not a lemming. Romney won't get my vote. And BTW, you can call him your nominee, but not "ours." Personally speaking, I have an Almighty God to answer to, and His views on murder of innocents and homosexuals are well known.
Well, could be, but there really aren’t many positives about the guy, are there? I have emails in my box from Pat Gray, sarcastically mocking Newt and saying that Romney is a far better candidate. Beck recently said that Newt was an enemy of God-—LOL! The only possible explanation for their behavior is Romney’s Mormonism. What is it-—98% of Mormons support Willard?
With Obama in office, it isn’t an easy decision to pass on voting against him. I’ve prayed, and I’ve wavered, and prayed some more. And the other day I believe I got my answer. Look, I’m a Christian. Sometimes we’re called on to walk the walk, and not just give lip service to what we believe. And those times can be rough. This IS one of those. But I cannot look my Lord in the eye when I face Him and try to explain that, yes, Lord, I know You hate abortion, and I know homosexuality is an abomination, but I chose as my leader a man who supported such evil because Obama was in office and I figured you’d make an exception.
You keep your mouth shut. Why pretend to like someone you dont? What does that accomplish?
It accomplishes a lot if you mask as a supporter of the weaker conservative candidate so that you can post damaging comments and articles against the other more threatening conservative opposition to Mitt Romney.
One does not have to post positive pro-Romney comments and articles to help Romney. Just destroy his opponents then say "Oh what a shame. I guess we all have to vote for Romney now. Oh Shucks :)".
Beck went all in with Mitt since day one.
Let me get this straight. Recognizing a false religion, and calling it for what it is, is bigotry? That’s funny. The only time I’ve ever heard that kind of stuff is from leftwingers.
That's an out and out lie....Beck has been for Santorum...anyone who actually listens to Beck would know that........
Interesting. At 1:52 in Glenn's speech from the "oval office" the camera pans out to show a bust of the head of a white horse.
The White Horse Prophecy | |
|
A prophecy by Joseph Smith of coming calamities in the western hemisphere The following is a copy from the Journal of Elder John J. Roberts, of Paradise, Utah. On about the 6th of May, 1843, a Grand Review of the Nauvoo Legion was held in Nauvoo. The Prophet Joseph Smith complimented them for their good discipline and evolutions performed. The weather being hot, he called for a glass of water. With the glass of water in hand, he said: "I will drink to your toast to the overthrow of the Mobocrats," which he did in the following language: "Here's wishing they were in the middle of the sea in a stone canoe with iron paddles and that a shark swallowed the canoe and the Devil swallowed the shark and himself locked up in the northwest corner of Hell, the key lost and a blind man hunting it." The next morning a man who heard the Prophet give the toast returned to visit the mansion of the Prophet and so abused him with bad language that he was ordered out by the Prophet. It was while the two were out that my attention was attracted to them, and hearing the man speaking in a loud tone of voice, I went towards them, the man finally leaving. There were then present the Prophet, Theodore Turley and myself. The Prophet began talking to us of the mobbings and deriding and persecutions we as a people had endured, "but we will have worse things to see. Our persecutors will have all the mobbings they want. Don't wish them any harm, for when you see their sufferings you will shed bitter tears for them." While this conversation was going on we stood by his south wicket gate in a triangle. Turning to me, he said, "I want to tell you something of the future. I will speak in a parable like unto John the Revelator. You will go to the Rocky Mountains and you will be a great and mighty people established there, which I will call the White Horse of peace and safety." When the Prophet said, "You will see it," I said, "Where will you be at that time?" He said, "I shall never go there. Your enemies will continue to follow you with persecutions and they will make obnoxious laws against you in Congress to destroy the White Horse, but you will have a friend or two to defend you and throw out the worst parts of the law so they will not hurt you so much. You must continue to petition Congress all the time, but they will treat you like strangers and aliens and they will not give you your rights, but will govern you with strangers and commissioners. "You will see the Constitution of the United States almost destroyed. It will hang like a thread as fine as as a silk fiber." At that time the Prophet's countenance became sad, because as he said, "I love the Constitution; it was made by the inspiration of God; and it will be preserved and saved by the efforts of the White Horse, and by the Red Horse who will combine in its defense."
Also, see "Its a very common belief [among Mormons] that the Constitution will hang by a thread and the Church will save it. Jan Shipps, quoted in Warchol and Heilprin, Mormon Myth Stalks Hatch to Presidential Race, Salt Lake Tribune, July 15, 1999" "Constitution hanging by a thread" Post 862 I believe that it is the destiny of the Latter-day Saints to support the Constitution of the United States. The Prophet Joseph Smith is alleged to have said--and I believe he did say it--that the day would come when the Constitution would hang as by a thread. But he saw that the thread did not break, thank the Lord, and that the Latter-day Saints would become a balance of power, with others, to preserve that Constitution. If there is--and there is one part of the Constitution hanging as by a thread today--where do the Latter-day Saints belong? Their place is to rally to the support of that Constitution, and maintain it and defend it and support it by their lives and by their vote. Let us not disappoint God nor his prophet. Our place is fixed. Apostle Melvin J. Ballard, Conference Report, April 1933, p. 127" |
That's a LIE, anyone who listens to Beck knows that he was for Santorum.
I guess all these people care about is making lots of money by lying to the people that they are conservatives.
As we all should know, Beck feign support for Santorum while Mittens was his number one guy.
I agree. I think Rush Limbaugh's approach will be to tear down Obama as opposed to building up Romney. In fact, there's nothing there to use to build up Romney. He's a fake.
All anybody can really do is say "Mitt Romney is the only one who can beat Obama".
Well, for me that's far from being enough. I will not vote for Mitt Romney.
