Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!
No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!
NO ROMNEY!!
Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!
Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.
In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.
FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!
We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!
I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!
FUMR!! FUGOP!!
Long live the rebellion!!
Hope my message is clear.
Hi Manc.... you said this:
“You can expect the paid staffers and supporters of Romney now be coming on here and saying I wasnt really for him but obama is worse and we have to unite
______________________________________________________
I am sure there are just as many obots on here saying this:
” I refuse to vote for Romney if he is the candidate. he’s worse than o bama. I will stay home and not vote.”
Axelrod and Marxists cheer, +1 more vote for o bama. One less fraudulent vote to manufacture.
You and I will have to agree to disagree. I hope in the end, romney is NOT the nominee, but in November whoever is on the ballot with an R beside their name, has my vote and everyone of my family members and friends are doing the same.
i have to agree
Perhaps if FR voters were aware of the close ties between islam and mormonism:

2 - U.S. Muslims share friendship, similar values with Mormons (LA Times, published in 2008)

...and were aware of this vow taken by all WORTHY mormon men, which Mitt has sworn to numerous times...
"You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion."

Mormons covenant to put the church before ALL things.
...there would be fewer posts on FR disagreeing with Jim Robinson.
The McCain campaign did not fail because conservatives didn’t think he wasn’t conservative enough. The McCain campaign failed because the last few weeks he spent his time ENDORSING BARACK OBAMA!
Something like: “Barack Obama is a good man, will make a good President... we have nothing to fear from Barack Obama”
THAT is why McCain lost.
It is what it is, because too many so-called
“conservatives” make it so.
Skipping over the rest of the primary, all the delegates left and all the rest of the states to hurry off and board the GOP-E trains leaving for Romneyaushwitz, before 1144, would be laughable, if were not so truly pathetic.
God gives us one day at a time to do with as we must.
Today is not Romney’s day.
Hold on, and lend a hand to the only conservative left standing, the only one among the whole mix who EVER ate Democrats for breakfast, and regularly!
WAKE UP!
Otherwise, get out of our way—your sobs are giving away our position.
Look, if the choice does end up being Romney versus [President] Obama, I can be very, very enthusiastic for Romney; that is a huge choice, the former House speaker said. But I had a very good life doing a lot of fun things: Im a grandfather, Ive got two grandchildren I want to spend time with, Callista has got me into being a really bad golfer. I would like to move up from bad to mediocre.
WHAT? So we're supposed to send money to Newt as the principled conservative to pay off his campaign and then he's going to turn around and "enthusiastically" support Romney and go off and play golf?
Let's go to the video.../Madden (7:00)
No, I wouldnt say no, Gingrich told Fox News Neil Cavuto Monday about what hed do if Romney asked him to run as his vice president. I cant imagine him offering, he added.
And be sure to consider the context.
Look, I understand hope is not a strategy. Without concrete plans, good intentions are useless. I really do realize how slim the chances are of winning at this point.
Also, unlike some conservatives, I understand the value of political experience, and that goes for both the candidates and the campaign staff. We can trade backgrounds but that's not important now; let's just say I think we have a lot in common with political history.
However, there comes a time that convictions trump math. The chances are slim, but a slim chance is better than no chance.
What counts is we've got a disaster coming down the road headed straight at us if Romney is nominated. I believe we're going to have another 2008 with McCain or 1996 with Dole, and possibly far worse because both of those men had decades of “time in the chair” dealing with conservative leaders in Congress. We knew what we were getting with Dole and McCain, and they had a solid record on at least some issues. As bad as McCain was, he didn't have a history of being “pro-choice” on abortion, supporting homosexual marriage, and appointing liberal judges in his own state.
I understand why a Gingrich campaign at this point may seem like tilting at windmills. I sincerely believe at this point, a Romney nomination nearly ensures Obama’s re-election, and the unlikely possibility of a Romney win means we will have a Republican who is more liberal than any Republican president we've had since at least Gerald Ford — except that being from Grand Rapids, I think even Ford was better than Romney because of Ford's anticommunism and support for the military.
I want to do whatever I can to stop Romney and Obama. The stakes really are that high.
Even if you need to do that as an unpaid volunteer, please rejoin the fight to deny Romney the nomination by supporting Gingrich. Political experience is valuable, and at this point even untrained “warm bodies” can be helpful.
I'm not a defeatist. Let's get back to the fight.
I see no issue with looking elsewhere for something to do with my vote.
The best way to keep a Free Republic/Tea Party rejection of Romney from throwing the 2012 election to Barack Obama is to reject Romney now. Let’s get back to trying to make that happen.

I agree!! I voted for Newt, he hasn’t bowed out yet, maybe Romney will implode. In November, I will vote for ABO.
Disappointing, frustrating and maddening as it is, that is the truth. The field was weak and the notRomney supports didn't unite. On the contrary, many spent the primary trashing each other.
The first constructive step to change this is being honest about how we got here.
IT'S NOT OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER!
Its called reality .....see my # 370
Sam, from the same article, a little context:
“Gingrich said in light of a disappointing and frustrating finish in the Southern states where he had hoped to revive his flagging campaign, hes banking on states like Delaware and North Carolina to hoist him into the position of conservative alternative to the more moderate Romney, a slot left vacant by Rick Santorums recent exit from the race.
I think now that theyre down to two of us. I think youre gonna see a lot more clear communication, Gingrich said. Id like to give people the chance to see these are the two major alternatives to Obama and which one is the better alternative and which one, forgetting Obama for a second, which one would be better for Americas future.
Hey, goofball; nobody needs a Romneybot like you to interpret what Newt means when he says he “can” do this or that (note to Sam Pain in the a** - not “will” do) in response to some hypothetical question asked by some local radio personality.
I suggest you give some money to a local Tea-Party candidate and begone to the planet Kolob.
lol. Actually he would be the LEADER of the national Republican Party, which would be more liberal than the Democrats of 20 years ago.
I concur.
