Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!
No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!
NO ROMNEY!!
Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!
Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.
In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.
FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!
We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!
I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!
FUMR!! FUGOP!!
Long live the rebellion!!
Hope my message is clear.
Practically everyone I know has repeated this over and over, so WHY can't we make it happen? We have the time. If we organize now....there is no telling what miracles might happen. We the People are not defeated yet. The question is, will we fight? Or will we throw up our hands in exasperation and frustration without even trying?
I am surprised that you lasted that long. Most jumped ship after McCain was anointed the Republican candidate in '08.
To Romney/Obama? There isen’t one.
the track is out at the canyon bridge. There is no time to stop the train traveling at 100 MPH, Obama is running the train at 100 MPH. Romney wants to run it at 70 MPH.
The end result is the train ends up in the canyon and our country is dead. With these to it’s just how fast we get to the canyon.
“Okay, I would love to have a good conservative candidate to vote for. What is the plan that accomplishes that? In my states primary I voted for Santorum, unfortunately he lost by 4 percentage points.
How do we get someone conservative on the ballot? I am seriously all ears here.”
####
My question as well.
What plan of action, SPECIFICALLY are we talking about at this point?
We all KNEW the Primary was critical and yet here we ae again with another McCain/Dole.
I’m fine with not voting for Romney, but who do we vote for?
I’m not waving the white flag at all. I haven’t given up yet. You say the battle has not even yet begun. I agree. I too hope someone else can win the GOP nomination other than Romney. But what will you do if Romney ends up being the nominee, and it’s him or four more years of Obama?
You will get not one democrat quitting their party because there are no conservative democrats left at the federal level. There are only moderates or worse. You don’t want them coming over to the new party diluting it with moderate views.
whiteRhINO... is that you Mittens?
None of the above.
Clear enough Jim. God bless you for remaining TRUE to your convictions!
I am seeing some of the “Christian” websites begin to kiss up to Romney like onenewsnow.com. For example, in thier front page column titled “Santorum - Romney’s ‘bridge’?” -
They have this professor from Regent University by the name of Dr. Charles Dunn saying:
“Mitt Romney’s Achilles heel is with the evangelical vote,” states Dunn. “Santorum has it; Romney doesn’t. To unify the Republican Party, the first thing [Romney] must do ... is get the evangelical vote. The bridge to the evangelical vote is Rick Santorum.”
These people act as though the convictions of a Christian is something that can be brokered by them. I didn’t support Santorum for Vice President, a cabinet position or a prime slot at the convention.
As I commented there, Rick lost the Senate partly because he angered conservatives by backing Specter over Pat Toomey. I have been a Santorum supporter throughout this race but if he backs Romney over Newt - I will never support him again.
As I wrote this afternoon - it would be SO EASY to give in once again - like I did several years ago when sitting with a room full of Christian Republicans here in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida who argued AGAINST ME that “Foley might be a homosexual, but he’s OUR homosexual.”
I’m not making this up. Christian Republicans fought me just as some do now regarding Romney - contending that “Foley’s seat is too valuable to risk” - despite knowing that he was pro-abortion and his deviant behavior was known to many throughout the Republican circles of PB County.
My argument was that we as Christians have an OBLIGATION to stand for potential Republican replacements to Foley. What kind of faith do we have if we think our God is too small and too powerless for us NOT to compromise by turning against the commands in His word?
The result of the ongoing Foley compromise -as we know- is that WE WERE HANDED OVER TO OUR ENEMIES AND WE LOST OUR MAJORITIES IN THE HOUSE SENATE AND THE WHITEHOUSE.
This primary is an opportunity to get it right and learn from our mistakes. We do not have to nominate an unacceptable candidate. If conservatives can fight in this 4th quarter, a brokered convention could bring about an acceptable candidate to ALL sides of the GOP. I will not comply with those people again.
The nomination of Willard Mitt Romney is political suicide and is every bit as wrong as supporting Foley was. If Romney is afforded the prize of his insatiable lust for the sake of legacy, we will be as successful as the builders of Babel.
Sincerely,
Publius321
The opposition does realize this. In fact, scum-of-the- earth David Letterman was just attacking Newt Gingrich with gusto on his show seconds ago.
They don’t want republican primary voters to mess up their plan of having a liberal in the White House no matter what happens with Obama.
When the US continues down the drain because of Obama or Romney, I will have the satisfaction of knowing I didn’t vote for either.
It looks pretty evenly split to me. And remember even in a lot of “Romney strongholds,” he did not get 50% of the vote. It’s not like he’s far and away the frontrunner. It’s not out of the realm of possibility at all for his popularity to dip enough to have him perform worse enough to only collect about 45% of the delegates and not hit 1,144.
There is also the fact that Florida and Arizona can be challenged at the convention so Romney could lose delegates there. Plus the count Santorum put out a few weeks ago showed the behind-the-scenes maneuvering seemed to be getting the conservatives more delegates than the media vote-counting showed.

I hear you and would like to be with you...but talk isn’t enough anymore.
If we are going to make a difference and have any meaningful influence, we will need to unite to carry our messages outside of FR...to media sources like local newspapers, sites like FB, Twitter and beyond.
And that will take organization, pooling of talents and a very real action plan.
At your side, Jim!
Jim I think it is time to talk.
There are some things we need to do to prepare.
We have been given an illusion of freedom by the elites. Vote to this person because—When they have picked the candidate and not us.
It’s close and we will need leadership and loyalty.
The time has arrived that FReepers will HAVE to stand together.
God bless us all in the times to come. This nation WILL survive.
We will make sure of it.
“sure you will....you’ll vote for Obama...you either vote against him or for him, make up your mind, but if you don’t vote against him, guess what, one more pathetic vote for him.”
What do you not understand about principles and integrity? A vote for the 3rd party is a vote for the 3rd party. Someone with principles and integrity actually votes for something and values their vote. They don’t waste their vote on opportunistic lying whores...even if they have an R behind their name.
I would continue, but I fairly certain a discussion on principles and integrity is to difficult for a Romneywhore to comprehend.
Well said!
It makes me sick that Romney will be our nominee, but I will not sit this election out and help Obama win a second term that will, without a doubt, destroy our country. This is not a straw-man argument, it is reality!
Those of us who have decided to vote for Romney are not cavers, Romeybots etc. We are simply dealing the hand that has been dealt. I’ll say again, whatever Romney is, at least he doesn’t hate the country seeking it’s destruction. I’m not pro-Romney, Im simply making a very difficult decision to try and save this country.
