Party Peon: “YES YOU ARE! A VOTE AGAINST BAAL IS A VOTE FOR ABADDON! VOTE FOR BAAL BECAUSE HE IS BETTER THAN ABADDON! IF YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR BAAL IT IS BECAUSE YOU REALLY LIKE ABADDON AND WANT TO SEE HIM IN CHARGE!”

Stunned Conservative: “Dude, they are BOTH DEMONS! Either of them will make this place hell on earth! I don’t want either one in charge. I -HATE- demons and will not choose either one!”

Party Peon: “YES YOU HAVE YOU TRAITOR! YOU’RE VOTING FOR ABADDON IF YOU WON’T VOTE FOR BAAL! I WOULD VOTE FOR LUCIFER HIMSELF TO DEFEAT ABADDON, AS NOTHING EVER EVER EVER EVER COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE THAN ABADDON!”

Stunned Conservative: “Dolt. Abaddon, Baal and Lucifer are all on the same team. They are each diabolical and I will not aid, assist or support any of them. They are DEMONS.”

Party Peon: “You are a bigot.”

No, you're just deluded. You make up a fantasy (the above scenario), describe the real world in terms of your fantasy, then make a choice in the real world with real world consequences (adding a vote for Obama by withholding a vote from his opponent and facilitating what Obama actually DOES do out of fear for what his opponent may NOT do), and then appeal to your fantasy as justification.

Your dissection is keen and accurate. Everything is circumspect...except for your first and misleading and accusatory judgement: “No, you’re just deluded.”

What if the poster is spot on and you are choosing to miss the point of the fantastical story? What if the point is worthy of being made and the poster is not deluded?

What does that do to your neat dissection that followed?

As I have said many ways many times, both Romney and Obama are unconscionably vile men, and I will vote for neither. My analogy to demons was an attempt to simplify it so that even a credulous party serf could understand.
