With all of the chicanery that the GOP-E has done over the last year, and helped the media to do over the last year, there's NO WAY I'm surrendering to these creeps.
Romney is *NOT* our candidate! He's their candidate, we're NOT REPUBLICANS! We are conservatives and constitutionalists FIRST. We believe in small government! Not this big government crap that Romney has peddled for the better half of the last decade or two, and I certainly can't do any more nose holding at the ballot box.
Voting for a big government republican is the real world equivalent of cutting off my nose to spite my face. That I refuse to do.
Reforming the GOP into a small government conservative party doesn't just mean voting for the right tea partiers at the right time. It means refusing to vote for the wrong big government republicans at the wrong time. We need to starve the beast of votes. We need to teach the republican party that if they have any shot at electoral success in the future, they only have one viable path. Bold colors BOLD COLORS BOLD COLORS
Sitting on the couch to teach the republicans a lesson got us this mess...you are willing to do it again????? Romney isn’t my 1st choice either...I’d love Allen West, but am I going to vote for Romney over obama, you bet your bippy I am!!!!!!
“but here’s a certainty for you: if Romney gets the White House, liberalism WILL GROW STRONGER IN BOTH PARTIES and conservatism will be greatly weakened in the Republican party.”
THAT is the pivot point. THAT is the fact on which the whole future hinges.
When I tried to vote from foreign countries, including third world ****-holes, the liberals made damned sure my vote was not counted. The GOP did nothing to stop them.
The GOP’s current frontrunner is not very differant from the typical politician of our opponents.
I see no reason to vote for the GOP’s grinning idiot.
“Because I think its too close to the truth for comfort.”
You know it is. These are both on their records spectaculary evil men, who are for the most part in perfect accord on policy decisions.
If the party refuses to listen, your advice is???
Apparently - to toe the party line.
The remaining states left to vote have 1,053 delegates.
States with 1,233 delegates have voted so far.
There are more unpredictable possibilities now that we’re down to a one-on-one race. It was the vote-splitting among conservatives between Rick and Newt that has been losing races and delegates for the past several weeks.
If Newt and Rick combine their delegates, they need 732 more to win.
Romney needs 488 more to win.
So Newt and Rick only need 244 more than Romney does to win.
Keep in mind Romney has almost never won over 50% of the vote in the states he’s won. This is a VERY different race now and many of the remaining states (shown below) look favorable to conservatives.
Missouri
New York
Pennsylvania
Connecticut
Rhode Island
Delaware
North Carolina
Indiana
West Virginia
Nebraska
Oregon
Kentucky
Arkansas
Texas
California
New Jersey
South Dakota
Montana
New Mexico

Sad that some will do “defeat Obama at any cost” even if that cost is killing conservatism forever. Sad how blind some lemmings are.
I’m no fan of Romney either - but it won’t really matter WHAT values we hold dear if Obama gets back in because there won’t be a free country in which to hold ANY values which are not those of that nightmare in the White House, so...come November I’ll do what I have to do, likely holding my nose the whole time.
Then a lot of people (including me) will not live to see the next election, because I will not be separated from my firearms without taking a few of the punks with me. They need to understand: if the local or state or federal cops come with confiscation orders, WE WILL KILL THEM. That is the core of the 2nd Amendment. Our nation began this way on April 19, 1775, and I will sure not disappoint my ancestors.
I’ve decided that we are all committing a slow national suicide anyway. Why poison ourselves when we can do it with a gun to the mouth?
Voting Obama after much deliberation. Bring on the civil war.
I don’t even get a chance to vote on the nominee, because my primary (Texas) isn’t until the end of next month. If I had been able to vote early in the primary season, Romney would have been pretty much my last choice.
The only choice we are going to have is Romney or Obama. Given a choice between a RINO and a committed socialist Hugo Chávez wannabe, I have to vote for the RINO. We cannot survive 4 more years of Obamanation.
so keeping obama in office to finish off this country will make republicans stronger....i don’t think it’ll matter, there won’t be anything left to save.
I have actually considered this. Kind of like the reverse of the frog-boiling analogy. Obama doing evil all at once will wake the sleepers.
Oh, but my conscience...
Perhaps it won’t come to that. There’s still time. Perhaps there’s another alternative we’re not seeing just now that will become apparent.
But bippies went out with Rowan and Martin.
PA hasn’t gone GOP since 1988. Don’t need it to win, either.
“Voting Obama after much deliberation.”
I will never vote for Obama for precisely the same reasons I will never vote for Romney:
They are each morally depraved, sociopathic, autocratic statists who bear guilt for many infanticides.
Romney will prove to be more competent and diligent in those areas should he win, but my position is real simple. I will not knowingly assist an evil man’s ascent to power, period.
Interesting moniker you have selected.
Keep trying and work harder. More conservatives need to realize it all starts at the local level. Yakking on the internet is fun and a useful way to network, but perhaps you'd be surprised at how much more can be done at the local, city, county, district, etc, level. That's how conservatives influence and takeover the GOP. And we are doing just that. Tea Party folks, movement conservatives, etc, have made unbelievable strides at the local and state level. It didn't work out at the national level this time around, but if we keep pushing from the bottom up we will be more successful going forward.
Screaming at that establishment that you'll refuse to vote for Republican nominee's only makes them ignore you. If you announce your not part of their party, then why should they pay any attention to you? Better to just take over from within.
Exactly, that is my thinking. Voting is not going to undo this entrenched system. Anyone who thinks so is incredibly naive. Time to wake the hell up.
My conscience lets me because I’ve finally realized the absolute gravity of the situation.
