It pains me to write this, but I am a realist: Barack Obama is one-hundred-percent guaranteed to win the 2012 Presidential race, and there is precious little anyone can do about it.
Please do not take this as a license to do nothing to prevent it. It is best that we go to our fate knowing we did all we could to stop it. We must know in deep in our core that all our hearts and souls were poured into thwarting the plans of this tyrant.
However: allow me to present the reasons I know we are destined to have another -- terminal -- four years of Obama:
And if you thought Obama was bad in Presidential term one, imagine him with nothing to lose in Presidential term two.
My hubby feels the same way as you do. I hope you are both wrong. I guess I am waiting for Hillary to make her move. She’s got the goods on Obama and could easily take him down and come in to “save the day and the dem party”. Barf!
Yeah. Maybe.
But if God be for us, who can be against us? Not Obama.
1) Obama's incredibly Machiavellian nature. Never seen someone so willing to destroy an entire country, just to rule over the smoking ruins.
2) A gut-feeling by watching the little signs emerging from the complicit State Run media. Most notably, a fairly positive NYT piece that mentioned our focus on litoral warships intended to "battle Iranian attack boats, clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz", and a mention that there will be a second US CVN in the Strait of Hormuz in the Washington Post.
Aw crap. Sorry. Urine for real.
That's about where I am. What to do? Crawl over broken glass and hot coals to vote for the liberal with an 'R' next to his name? Throw caution to the wind and waste my vote on a third party or write-in?
The GOP-e couldn't poor piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel.
I always say, "Never stare directly at the genitalia. It will damage your retinas."
348%? I doubt it will be that high. Probably more like 110%.
But I have been wrong before. In fact twice this year. Once in January and then in March, I thought I have made a mistake. :0
I don’t necessarily think your reasons are correct, but I believe the outcome you cited will be the one that’ll happen.
How could Republicans be so close to nominating a mormon? And a liberal one at that?
That is not what the girls say Laz.
More will be revealed.
I completely disagree with the various points of this vanity. In fact, they will have precisely the opposite effect. The black vote is a given. The race baiting, occupy movement, crappy economy, and gas prices will kill him. They are turning off Americans big time, and that’s the tone once one gets away from the FR echo chamber or the hyper liberal blogs on the other side. Also, Romney isn’t viewed as negatively in general as he is on this forum. Yes, many Americans receive some sort of government financial aid, but normal mainstreet America would rather have a job than take charity. The media knows Obama is in trouble and present a completely different picture than reality and highlight the disenfranchised “squeeky wheels” as being representive of the electorate at large, which they aren’t. The reality is that the “magic” simply ain’t there anymore. The mask is off. People now openly discuss “socialism” which was almost unheard of a few short years ago. All this negative talk is like a coach in the locker room telling his team before the game that they will get creamed, so just buck up and take your lumps.
There’s actually a reason I’m doing this. If this becomes the public meme — That Obama will start a conflict with Iran to get the popularity boost and the defense against high gas prices — there is a chance it will be so viral as to redound to his detriment.
More will be revealed.
... knowing we did all we could to stop it.

As in truly repenting as a nation and asking God to restore us?
(...because IF we did....HE WOULD!)

Sorry but I have trouble with your statement. Many Americans have repented and asked God to restore us, yet they are individuals who can only speak for themselves... not for the nation. Only Obama seems in a position to do that. I would not hold your breath waiting for that to happen.
So God is going to forsake us? Don’t think so. He loves his people. Your statement sounds somewhat haughty.
I am somewhat mildly inclined to agree.
Dunno ‘bout most of that stuff. Number four is virtually certain and in implementation right now.
I figure it has more do with:
1. Government parasitism (at both ends of the economy) has reached the tipping point. There are more parasites than producers voting.
2. ACORN survived, re-branded itself, and is back on the job of professional vote fraud, once again paid by our tax dollars. If any parasites forget to vote ACORN will be happy to vote for them. Not to mention, the dead, demented, etc.
3. The Unions and their money are completely in the pocket of the President.
4. The MSM is wholly on the president’s side and, like it or not, the majority of Americans STILL get their “news” from the MSM.
5. Romney is about as inspiring as Tofu and has about as much guts. It doesn’t matter who he picks for VP, it won’t improve much.
Dunno that a “war” with Iran would help unless Iran cooperated by “Pearl Harboring” or 9/11ing us first. If Iran launches a successful attack on something with heavy American losses, Obama is in; if not war with Iran can only be a negative.
Race war won’t help him. Obama’s self chosen ethnicity is “black” and we’ll be pretty peeved at blacks if this starts up or escalates.
Occupy Wall Street is a joke. An ugly, smelly joke, but a joke still.
Gas Prices are gas prices. Unless the ‘Pubbies want to press Obama’s anti-energy policies, this won’t have any effect; if the do have the guts to press it (ha!) it will be a negative for Obama.
So Obama will probably win, but for different reasons.
