(CBS/AP) TULSA, Okla. - A spree of early-morning shootings within a one-mile span of north Tulsa in which three people were killed and two critically wounded has lead police to suspect the same attacker or attackers are behind them.
All five of the victims were shot within an hour, and within a 1-mile radius of each other, police sources tell CBS News, and all five victims were out walking when they were shot.
Police are speculating that the shootings were racially motivated because all of the victims are black; it is not believed the victims knew one another.
Police won't know for sure if the shootings are linked until they see the results of ballistic tests.
CBS News has learned that two of the victims described the suspect as a white male, and that four people said they saw a white truck. No one has been arrested.
The FBI is now involved in the investigation.
Black community leaders met Friday evening in an effort to calm unrest and promote safety. NAACP Tulsa president, the Rev. Warren Blakney Sr., told the Tulsa World someone appeared to be "targeting black people to shoot."
"I'm on edge for my people," Blakney said.
Four shooting victims were found in yards, and the fifth in a street. Police identified those killed as Dannaer Fields, 49; Bobby Clark, 54; and William Allen, 31. Fields was found wounded about 1 a.m. Friday. Clarke was found in a street about an hour later. Allen was discovered in the yard of a funeral home about 8:30 a.m.
Minutes after Fields was found, police found two men with gunshot wounds in another yard two blocks away. They were taken to hospitals in critical condition but are expected to survive, police said. Their names have not been released.

I remember 30 years ago hearing neo-Nazis ranting about how this country would eventually be torn apart by racial civil war, mainly because our government would be deliberately sponsoring it.
I laughed then.
Anybody laughing now?

True. Very true. There are lots of things going on now that - 30 years ago - would not have been thought possible:
“A black Marxist president? With a set plan in place to decimate our military, our families and even our very nation? Are you high?”
CWIII. We didn’t start it. But we will finish it.
The MSM is trying to gin up racial tensions in the hope of having ratings bonanza from race riot coverage . They truly believe that they are somehow immune to any violence, they must be disabused of this notion . When the violence starts the first order of the day is look for the talking heads & bring them under fire from every thing in the shot locker make them duck in fear of their lives burn their tv transmission trucks. That sends a rude message to the media whores.
Yes, the same week the world was turned upside down for treyvon except the woman, who was 85, was raped before she was murdered. The perp was a twenty year old black thug. The story was not reported except in Okahoma. It was carried by the daily mail out of the UK. I called my newspaper in Columbus oh and asked the news desk why THIS story wasn’t reported nationally and the treyvon story was. I was told that the Okahoma thing was not unusual, very common and happens all the time, also told that treyvon wasn’t carrying a weapon and wasn’t doing anything wrong. I asked him if he supposed the elderly couple had a weapon and doing something wrong. He then said he was very busy and didn’t have time for this, then hung up.
“I’m on edge for my people,” Blakney said.”
You should be... look at the mess that you Skittles have started.
Had they not teased the dog, this murdering nut case might not have ever come out of his closet.
Damn the crazy fool, find him and bring him to justice, but Obama and the loon democrats deserve some of the credit for this bloodletting.
No matter where you are and where you go, there is always a white guy and a white pickup truck around!
Yet the media and the civil rights industry already have their headlines. I hate the bast*rds.
I do not point out spelling errors on blogs, online review boards, etc.
But for CBS "journalists"? You betcha!!
If you are serious, perhaps you should contact Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpie and The New Black Panthers, and ask them to stop pouring gasoline on the racial bonfire...
You should google "Great riot of 1921, Tulsa Oklahoma."
It's an eyeopener.
Well... depends.
If a pompous ass can't spell and starts preaching to everyone on a thread, I ENJOY pointing out his/her "shorcomings."
Sorry, I can't help myself.
something doesn’t feel right about this story
i’ll wait for more info before i ask the questions that aren’t being asked.
My money is on a black person involved in these shootings to stir the pot.....

I am actually fairly familiar with that riot tho I thought incorrectly that it was in the 30s.
Back around 1973 I worked for Social Security while waiting for an appointment to another agency.
An old Black guy who was applying for social security or maybe had some problem with it told me about it first hand. He said there were far more people killed than the official accounts. Among other things he said there were airplanes dropping “turpentine bombs” on them.
Beyond reporting that a young man named Trayon Martin was killed- 100% of all news reporting on the Trayvon shooting has been shown to be fabricated.
Wait to see who, what and why as Fox uncovers what happened.
Cellphone records can tell exactly how many people were close to all of these incidents.
I don't know why people think they have to correct others spelling errors anyway. I think they have a name for it.
