Remember all the self-righteous chest thumping that went on after conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh made fun of the 30-year old Georgetown activist Sandra Fluke?
Im sure you do. Politicians, celebrities, and major companies all got in on the Censure Limbaugh action. And why not? It was all the rage. Everyone was doing it.
And just like any good fad, somebodys always late to the party. In this particular story, that somebody is Arbys. Yep: the third-tier fast food chain announced yesterday (again, about a month late) that it would be removing advertisements from Limbaughs program.
Odd: Limbaugh notes that Arbys has never been a sponsor of his show, Twitchy reports.
Unsurprisingly, as other advertisers boycotting Limbaugh quickly discovered, many customers have expressed irritation with Arbys for publicly condemning the talk show host.
Arbys has alienated a large number of current and potential customers, who view this move as a strike against free speech, Twitchy (conservative authoress Michelle Malkins start-up) reports.
In fact, many customers decided to voice their opinion via Arbys Twitter feed:
Good grief, theyre actually blocking customer criticism? Now were not corporate strategists or anything, but were pretty sure blocking customers is just about the worst PR move a company can make.
Arbys had one foot in it yesterday we guess they decided they needed to step in it with the other foot to even things out, Twitchy writes, Arbys, were thinkin you really screwed up.
Of course, in Arbys defense, blocking people on Twitter isnt the worst idea theyve ever had

Arby's is ok... if you want to dine in Hell.
I had never seen a Carbonite or Edible Arrangement commercial on tv before they left Rush. Now they are all over the place. I guess 3 hrs on Rush is worth daily advertisements on multiple channels. Maybe Arbys needs more good mood food for their execs.
Do yourself a favor and try a Chik-Fil-A shake. It's at least a full order of magnitude better. Especially the seasonals, like Peach or the current Banana Pudding shake.
...
Doggone it, now I gotta take a ride to Chik-Fil-A.

Somebody oughtta sic PETA on Arby’s, since their whole thing is “sliced roast beef” or whatever.
Fight commie with commie.
I’ve bought one sandwich at Arby’s and that was in the 1984. I’m not real crazy about tough, bland roast beef.
I could send you some, 20 or more in refrigerated not frozen, styrofoam cooler from NJ. It would have to be overnight shipping. Got a White Castle 2 miles from me. Would have to put pickles on the side, for better taste consistency.
Could be expensive with the refrigeration shipping.
They have a really GAY home page, and their “Team” looks extremely light in the loafers

Not too big on having any black guys on the team either, out of about 40 people, I don’t see a single black.
How is that even possible in this day and age?
Otherwise, two East Asian descents, and all women at the office manager and administrative assistant level. Hmm...
I ate at Arby’s twice first and last at the same sitting. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Nasty food.
I don’t eat at Arby’s but I’m not going to stop eating at Wendy’s.
I think there is a relation between the recent announcements from Arbys and Walgreens pulling local ads from Rush and the new Huckabee show just starting. Arbys is owned by Rourk Capital, who are big Romney supporters. Huckabee is supporting Romney too. I would not be surprised if the left (MediaMatters) and the center-left (Rinos) are both trying to take down Rush and conservatism.
I keep on wondering why are Arbys and Walgreens doing thus now, when Rush apologized over the incident over a month ago. I think giving a spotlight to Huckabee and RinoRadio is the answer.
If they confirm they have lost a local customer who has spent LOTS of money there over the past decade.
This coming week I intend to call and snail mail them and others as well. If they continue to contact me it could very well be a lawsuit.
Now back to Walgreen's. If they respond and confirm they have stopped advertising on the Rush show I want them to also PUBLICLY say they are not advertising on ANY political program. NONE!
If they don't my relationship with them is OVER! I will let them know in no uncertain terms what they have done.
LOL!
