Remember all the self-righteous chest thumping that went on after conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh made fun of the 30-year old Georgetown activist Sandra Fluke?
Im sure you do. Politicians, celebrities, and major companies all got in on the Censure Limbaugh action. And why not? It was all the rage. Everyone was doing it.
And just like any good fad, somebodys always late to the party. In this particular story, that somebody is Arbys. Yep: the third-tier fast food chain announced yesterday (again, about a month late) that it would be removing advertisements from Limbaughs program.
Odd: Limbaugh notes that Arbys has never been a sponsor of his show, Twitchy reports.
Unsurprisingly, as other advertisers boycotting Limbaugh quickly discovered, many customers have expressed irritation with Arbys for publicly condemning the talk show host.
Arbys has alienated a large number of current and potential customers, who view this move as a strike against free speech, Twitchy (conservative authoress Michelle Malkins start-up) reports.
In fact, many customers decided to voice their opinion via Arbys Twitter feed:
Good grief, theyre actually blocking customer criticism? Now were not corporate strategists or anything, but were pretty sure blocking customers is just about the worst PR move a company can make.
Arbys had one foot in it yesterday we guess they decided they needed to step in it with the other foot to even things out, Twitchy writes, Arbys, were thinkin you really screwed up.
Of course, in Arbys defense, blocking people on Twitter isnt the worst idea theyve ever had

I’ll be back.
Gotta go get blocked by Arby’s.
I spent my last penny there. As aas far as I am concerned, Arby’s no longer exist.
I only hope White Castle never does anything so foolish. I love those “murder burgers” as we called them back in daBronx ;)
I don’t eat at Arbys and now I know it is best not to. We are the people with the money. Too bad they screwed themselves in such a bad economy their Marxist caused.
"Ill be back.
Gotta go get blocked by Arbys."
LOL
Here’s the deal on this... It’s the Tom Harkin Barnyard Epithet.
Arby’s has NEVER actually bought time specifically on Rush’s show... EVER, ANYWHERE... what Arby’s does, is buy “Run of Schedule” ads - a specific number of ads, for a specific number of days... all Arby’s has done is ask stations to exclude the hours of Rush’s show.... and by doing that, they are cutting their reach, and increasing their CPM (in ad lingo that = cost per thousand exposures)... in a business and advertising sense, a truly STUPID move on their part... Arby’s - It’s Stupid Mood Food.
Just to add to this and for those who don’t know. Arby’s is also now the owner of Wendy’s.
grisly roast beef they cut thin enough so you don't notice how grisly it is....
The last time I ever got sick to my stomach was after an Arby’s “meal”
So I’m way ahead of the curve, I boycotted those losers for years :)
Haven’t spent a penny or any other money at Arbys for twenty years or more.
So it’s going to be difficult for me to boycott them further.
never eat there and now never will. Its Good Gruel Food.
Arby’s, the restaurant with the 10 gallon asshat for a logo.
Never like the place... So no pennies for them..
Or you can go to the website of their parent company, Roark Capital Group. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear from you.
Or type up a short letter to management, go to an Arby’s restaurant ask for the manager and hand it to him.
Right behind you.
I guess it’s “bad mood food” now.
Like Chicken McNuggets, any resemblance of Arby’s roast beef LOAF to real roast beef is purely coincidental!
I think it was while I was in college they stopped using real roast beef. Talk about tough and stringy, OMG!
College was in the early 70s.
Cinnabon, Auntie Anne’s, this may hurt a little.
I left a message on the corporate site. I asked if they thought the industry hating, agriculture hating, ban beef, fat, salt, and sugar Left was their natural customer base.
What idiots.
