Ask NBC, they know all about explosions and the potential for explosions from ruptured gas tanks. Especially when you put explosive charges next to them.
Must be one of those new fangled buses that runs on nitrogylcerin. Even a spring from a ballpoint pen hitting the gas tank can cause an explosion. /s
It sure excites TBoone!

Why does Brooklyn have Kings County Hospital, not Brooklyn County Hospital?
Well, I fell better. /s
Because Brooklyn is in Kings County. Another one is Staten Island which is in Richmond County and was the city of Richmond before it joined New York.
Ha ha ha
No, it’s in Bay Ridge by Dyker Beach Park in Brooklyn.
Because the borough of Brooklyn is Kings County, just like the borough of Manhattan is New York County and Staten Island is Richmond County. (The other boroughs are Bronx County and Queens County.)

A twin-size mattress that ended up under an MTA bus is being blamed for sparking a bizarre Thursday night Brooklyn blaze that left the bus and six parked cars torched.
The S53 bus from Staten Island ran over the mattress just after 11 p.m. and dragged it across the Verrazano Bridge, a police source said.
Metal springs in the mattress apparently punctured the bus gas tank, setting the coach ablaze moments after the driver pulled over in Bay Ridge and evacuated passengers.
Witnesses said gas from the bus spilled into the gutter on Dahlgren Place near 92nd St., triggering a fiery stream underneath a half-dozen cars that rapidly went up in flames.
No one was injured.
Also, a buddy of mine almost lost his car by running over a feed bag on I-10. It was a paper feed bag (50 lbs) and it got lodged under his car. The stables in the thing caught the bag on fire. Luckily another motorists pulled up next to him to tell him he was smoking.
Just the ones in cartoons...and news stories about buses blowing up.

Get it washed.
I don’t know if the springs had to puncture anything for this to happen. I’ve seen several cases of this involving cars, in which a car runs over a mattress and gets stuck on top of it, and then the heat of the exhaust system ignites the mattress. Before you know it, the entire vehicle is engulfed in flames.
They’re counting on us to Spring into action!
or Run under the covers :/
New York has five boroughs which are also five counties in the State of New York. Only two of the five have county names that match the borough names. The borough/county names are:
Manhattan (New York County)
Brooklyn (Kings County)
Queens (Queens County)
Bronx (Bronx County)
Staten Island (Richmond County)
Yeah, I know ... it's really confusing!
HA HA HA.... What imaginations those moonbats over at the ministry of propaganda have. The only way a mattress could have blown up a bus is if the mattress itself blew up first.
This is bs on so many levels.
What kind of fuel was the bus using? If it was using Diesel diesel won’t ignite like that. If it was natural gas then maybe but the gas tank would need to be something other than aluminum or plastic; Pretty much the same for gas. No... me thinks Obomba’s politburo is covering up the truth.
