Tyler Perry's April 1 Facebook post about police pulling him over was no April Fool's joke: The highest-paid man in entertainment is accusing a pair of white Atlanta police officers of racial profiling.
Four days later, Perry's post boasts more than 117,000 "likes," 21,000 comments, and 12,000 shares. Atlanta police have launched an internal investigation, E! News reports.
Perry's predicament began when he admittedly made a left turn from a far-right lane -- a trick his security detail taught him, to make sure he wasn't being followed, Perry explained on Facebook.
Two white Atlanta police officers pulled him over, but apparently did not realize they'd just stopped Tyler Perry.

I agree. I’ve found his movies to be quite funny and not the least bit trashy, raunchy or laced with profanity. He does profess to be a practicing Christian and the themes in his movies also reflect Christian values. We’ll see what comes from all of this.
C’mon Tyler.
If it weren’t for a couple of my friends who are friends with you I wouldn’t have known who you were until a couple of months ago and I don’t think I would recognize you at a party.
Doesn’t mean you are black. Doesn’t mean you are invisible.
I just don’t know you.
Now, the black officer might have recognized you because you are prominent in the black community and a bit of hero.
Heck, even I admire your story but wouldn’t have read it. A friend told me about it as you discussed doing some producer deal.
If I was a white cop, and I am white, and I knew who you were and you described your security it would definitely be a coin toss as to whether or not you were ticketed for a very unsafe maneuver.
Now, if I were this white cop and hadn’t heard my friends stories about your life you would get a ticket.
Hopefully, the Black cop explained a little bit who you are and that your security measure seemed reasonable so long as no one was in danger and I hope you weren’t ticketed because, it does seem reasonable to me as do the other things that I know people like you are advised to do.
You didn’t get a ticket otherwise it would have been mentioned in the story.
Give the racism thing a break. They probably didn’t know you are a big deal and they likely took the advice of their brother in blue and didn’t issue you a ticket.
Which means we could infer favoritism of the Noble and Privileged. Couldn’t we?

Translation: Do you two flatfoots KNOW who the hell I am?..
Upon further review, I’m not in the target audience for his product, and I will not be watching any. Thank you for the explanation.
Well, I know what you like and if I were a cop and pulled you over I’d say “You were fast before you hit the gas. Might wanna slow it down a bit. Have a good day”.
LOL
Nully probably agrees.
I’d take Tyler Perry’s word over any APD cop on any occasion.
Tyler Perry is a stand up guy with conservative views which are propounded in all of his various and highly successful shows.
This is a very successful guy with values which we all should venerate, and the APD is a corrupt organization which we should all be suspicious of.
Sounds like a publicity stunt for “Tyler Perry’s Driving While Black.”
The Old West had "Fast Draw" artists like Wyatte Eyrp, Wild Bill Hickok, Bat Masterson, etc. Today, we also have "Fast Draw" artists, but instead of a pistol, today's "Fast Draws" whip out the "Race Card". Pathetic Putz's.
The race issue will never be resolved.
500,000 years from now the weak blacks will still resort to it.
Yeah those was some super racist white cops they could see he was a black man through that illegal tint on his windows and thats the only reason they pulled him over....
Obama and the left want to gin up so much racial tension in this country so that he will guilt some ignorant whites into voting for him just so there won’t be riots.
I wouldn't want to meet Odin in a dark alley!
Tyler, doing left turns from a right-hand lane, across multiple lanes of traffic, will get you stopped by the cops no matter what color you are. If not T-boned by another car. Consider yourself lucky.
I love Tyler Perry's movies but I don't know how in the hell he could support Obama if he's a Christian. What Perry preaches through his characters are 180 to what Obama says and does. Obama preaches victimization and be dependent on the government, while Perry's characters preach being accountable, being independent and show respect to God.
I just don't get it.
I had a positive impression of Perry too, especially because he was basically ostracized by the Hollywood establishment and made his movie success on his own. Then he went and hosted a huge fundraiser for Obama. Lost me there.
LOL
Who is Tyler Perry ... really, honestly, I have no idea of who he is, what he does and why he should be above the law.
Garbage. I don’t care how successful he is or what supposed values he has. He admits he broke the law and got caught. Now he wants to scream racism. I, for one, am tired of it.
If it’s true that he supported Obama, then I wouldn’t take his word on anything.
These days, it mightn't matter ;-)
Frankly, if you consider what has happened to the racial divide since Obama took office, unmitigated hell has already descended upon us.
Don’t worry about sending me the $5000. Just send it the pro-Life group of your choice.
Thanks.
