Gun Sales Booming: Doomsday, Obama or Zombies?

Buyers in record numbers are flooding into gun stores, retailers say. Ammo, too, is flying off the shelves. The reasons for the spike, last seen in 2009, include fears that a second Obama administration might restrict gun ownership and the popularity of TV shows devoted to doomsday preparation and killing zombies.
"He's never been pro-gun," says Cris Parsons of President Obama. Parsons, 31, owns a Texas gun purveyor called the Houston Armory. So far, Parsons insists, Obama has been "pretty coy" about his antipathy toward guns--and he likely will remain so during the campaign. To do otherwise would "upset a lot of people."

I agree. My 45 ammo costs were painful. I was listening to a Gunny (good guy) with a
YouTube site. He was using CO2 pellet gun for practice.
Air Gun Depot is a great place to find both pump and CO2 rifles and pistols. I went with the
Beretta PX4 Storm. The refurbished models are $60 and the cartridges and pellets are very economical. The CO2 pistols are excellent for practice. I like the blow back action on the Beretta as a gentle reminder of safe handling.
I have also purchased a few of the break action air rifles. They are worth checking out for practice and varmint hunting. For a kick check out the
Gamo Hunter Extreme Air Rifle .25 cal- 730 fps w/3-9x50 IR A/O Scope. The break action is a little hefty on this one, but ammo is cheap and is competitive with powder. You won't break the bank stocking up with ammo.

“Alan Korwin, author of nine books on gun laws, including “Gun Laws of America,” says gun owners are worried that the president, as a lame duck, will clamp down as never before on gun ownership. “
If asked I’d say it’s because I’m worried, too. In the back of my mind I’m thinking “Bring It!”

Includes me. Purchased a handgun and have been progressively enlarging my ammo supply. That's good, but handguns are for when you don't know you're going to need a gun. If you do know, long guns are the way to go. Ask any Korean shopkeeper.

I've seen that ammo before. I need to get some. Especially for the 9mm, but also for the .45 ACP.

Guns similar to your expensive to shoot piece, but in .22 LR are also a good way to save on ammo costs.
Or if you fancy long arms, a conversion kit, or a separate upper, for your AR performs the same function. The upper will be more accurate, but the kit a lot cheaper.

That's good, but handguns are for when you don't know you're going to need a gun. If you do know, long guns are the way to go. Ask any Korean shopkeeper. Your doctrine is due for a revision. In the brave new world, stealth is everything.
The only way you are EVER going to get away with sauntering down the street with your black rifle is if we become another Bosnia.

FTA: There are more than a dozen manufacturers, says Parsons, making zombie riffles[sic], some with a picture of a zombie on them The two position on a zombie rifle’s safety, instead of being marked “safe” and “fire,” are labeled “dead” and “undead.”
LOL! I gotta see that!
