...If it's Mittens what are YOU going to do...are you going to swallow DEEP, PLUG yout NOSE and vote for "him" OR WAHT?
Don’t like Romney one bit, but will gladly vote for him over Obama!
You have hit upon the solution!!!!! Get liquored up on election day and have a sober person drive you there. Then pull the lever for ABBH. Anybody but Hussein.
I’ve spelled out where each of the candidates departs from principle.
You see, principle is my plumb line, not personality.
Again, foreign concepts to folks like you.
By the way, most of those folks are about to become Romney Republicans, if they haven’t already. Which is telling.
Tagline...
And, by the way, if the price of being a political "somebody" is the abandonment of all principle, the principles that are the substance of the sacred oath of office, the price is far too high.
I can hope and be fooled. I have been so many times before. But Romney just insults me. I can’t be fooled by an insult.
Welcome to Free Republic.
Indeed the perfect is the enemy of the good. The flaw in your reasoning is that Romney is “the good.” He’s not. Just being to the right of Obama on one issue is certainly not enough to qualify someone as earning my vote. And, frankly, given Romney’s “flexibility” on the issues how can anyone be certain where he actually is? Today he says one thing; tomorrow it may be different if the wind blows a different way. Romney wants the presidency in the worst way. Worst Way. He wants it enough to say whatever it takes to whomever he thinks he needs to say it. I will not vote for The Etch-A-Sketch Candidate.
I’m confident The Republican Establishment was certain that all us pesky conservatives would dutifully fall in line this election as we have for so many other, but I’m done with that. I _will_ _not_ vote against my convictions again.
It took me until I had the ballot in my hands to decide I whether I actually would vote for McCain. Even then it was not an easy thing to do. I’ve regretted it ever since. I won’t go there again. I’ve reached my line in the sand and I won’t cross it.
Some time ago I read a news article about a home invasion by a bunch of hoodlums. They held a mother and son at gun point and ordered the mother to perform oral sex on her son or have her and her son be killed. This disgusting scene is analogous to where conservatives find themselves. As I see it, the mother in the situation has to decide whether to jump in the pit with the scum and give in to their demands (and likely be killed anyway) or decide that no matter what she will do what she knows is right and live (or die) with the consequences.
For too long conservatives have chosen to “go along to get along,” and we’ve found out the hard way that compromising on principles with those who mean you harm only slows the harm. I’m done playing the game; I’m done ignoring my conscience under the justification that it will all turn out OK in the end. It hasn’t, and it won’t even if I go just a bit farther down this road.
For too long conservatives have said we’ll insist on a conservative candidate only to give in at the last moment on the grounds of party unity. We bought the line that if we don’t something horrible will happen. Where has it gotten us? Compassionate Conservatism. Medicare Part D. Campaign Finance Reform. Unionized Federal TSA. John McCain. And the latest disgrace: Mitt Romney who may or may not favor gay marriage, abortions, government mandated health insurance and who knows what else.
No, I will not vote for Romney.
“However theres no good argument to stay home and let downticket races suffer. Even if I cant vote Romney, Im not going to punish Tim Walberg for that.”
Exactly. I won’t vote for Mittens, but I will vote for the rest of the crowd and issues that deserve my vote. Colorado routinely places important issues on the ballot during presidential votes and those also deserve a vote.
“Ones a communist and ones a capitalist.”
Not if the race is between Obama and Mittens. Both are die-hard Marxists that believe the government has the right to control every aspect of your life. The proof? MittensCare and the following ObamaCare. More proof? Cap-and-Trade.
In what way?....... How can you make such a statement since Romney is never settled on any conservative issue....but certainly will slide for abortion, gay rights, cap'n' trade and Obamacare... ...so you'll never know which direction he'll take. .....Romney's like slime moving between the fingers of a hand.
Furthermore...Romney is the front man, truly has no mind of his own on what he will ultimately do.....he's most definitely under the leadership of the LDS and will do as they say over and above all else as his loyalty is settled to the agenda of the LDS leadership first and foremost and above this country....
I'm not willing to vote for a man whose actions are dictated by unseen, unknown men, and his loyalty to them and their agenda over that of the office He would hold....
We know what Obamas doing, he's out in the open for the most part and we can fight a seen enemy.......Romney operates with deceit and fakery, in the shadow of another "governance" who will remain unseen and operating in the direction this country takes.
Nope, not at all in Romneys court....and have no reason to believe I ever will be.
BTW I do not see LDS as a religion by any means.....it's simply the means used to channel revenues to the leadership who are corporate investors, land holders, and investors......a Corporation in and of themselves with no accountability to anyone....and this not only nationally but Internationally as well.
That’s where I’m at here in PA.
If Newt isn’t trending here I’ll vote for Santorum to keep Romney in check....
I’ll NOT vote for Romney in the General.
I’ll NOT vote for Obama in the General.
It is illogical thinking like that which will put Obama back in office.
Shame on that type of thinking. Vote Mitt to oust Obama.
Simple as that.
.he’s most definitely under the leadership of the LDS
Make light of it to your own hurt Magritte....it’s wise to research Romney’s own words....and that of LDS holdings and who by, as well as their political agenda..there’s no conspiracy about it, only the uninformed would say that. If all you know is “magic Underwear” you have not even skimmed the surface and are mis-directed.
That’s the lamest answer I’ve ever heard. Do you have a single specific thing that would happen or is it strictly a Mormon boogieman post? Do you also believe the Pope and the Vatican “run” Santorum??
I will write in Sarah Palin.
FUMR
FUBO
FUGOP
So you’d rather have a marxist than a mormon in the White House? Huh. Religious prejudice results in irrational conclusions.
“We know,.......But you can, (In good conscience) let Obama win a second term and destroy the country. You must be one of those Principled Patriots. “
And you are obviously a scared little chicken afraid of the big bad Obama. So afraid that you are letting him control who you vote for.
Grow a set, will ya?
Also: A bit of edumacation for you: A vote for Obama is a vote for Obama. A vote for anybody else is a vote for anybody else.
Only the looters who vote for Obama will be responsible for another Obama term. THEY are the problem with this country.
I am not the problem nor are any of the other “principled patriots” who have had enough of the leftist controlled organization known as the “Republican Party”.
As was posted to me upthread, be sure your state allows write-in votes for write-in candidates who may not have registered. Otherwise your ballot may be considered spoiled and thrown out.
“...be sure your state allows write-in votes for write-in candidates who may not have registered. Otherwise your ballot may be considered spoiled and thrown out. “
That’s good information.
Thanks.
No submission, no grovelling, no crawling to Mittens to kiss his manly member while he tells Muffy and Skippy, "See? I told you I'd have no trouble pulling the conservatives once I was the last man standing!"
FUMR, that's my vote.
GOP-e's want to steer the nod to people like him, then they'll go down with people like him. Screw them!
