I'm in real estate (part time) here in North Texas, hence my name -- re: real estate and nortex: North Texas.
I've witnessed the quality of construction worsen over the decades as American workers have been displaced by the illegals. It's not merely an opinion but an observation based on fact. Take a close look in out-of-the-way places (such as attics) and it's clear that their workmanship is subpar and, hence, more prone to wind damage.
I was born in 1943 and can remember when homes were well built in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. The influx of illegals from across the border has been unquestionably a bad thing. Today's destruction added to the evidence of the price we pay for open borders.
Lol, good point and so true. While watching I was thinking if it were me at the wheel, I would be heading in the opposite direction.
When I first began watching the live stream, he was closest to Naples on the map at the link. Now the map shows him a little East of Texarkana and it looks like he’s taking a break, that, or the web stream isn’t working.

Prayers up from this house for ALL Texans. The wife is on the phone with the son over there. So far, so good. Hang tough Texas! We’re really going to need you guys in November.
Prayers for all involved, from all of us who were spared. 2117hrs (9:17pm) EST.
One of the things that impressed me is how neighbor is helping neighbor. One of the newscasts was showing the damage in Arlington. People from up and down the street were assisting others cleaning up debris and helping with moving downed trees. God has Blessed Texas and He will continue to do so as long as we remain steadfast.
Were really going to need you guys in November.
Depend on us! Even with the obstacles the courts put in our way, Conservatism runs deep here. As one data point, at my church, there's no one who sides with Obama in any way, shape or form. We sometimes discuss politics after services down in the kitchen. In particular, after the State of the Union address, everyone was of the opinion that it was a terrible speech and that he's a horrible president.
Good luck FRiend!
Grateful your safe...... :o)
Stay Safe !!!!
Thank you very much. And keep us in your prayers as we approach the summer. Although we've had some good rainfall this spring, another big drought in 2012 is something we don't need.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. -- James 5:16 (KJV)
Will do!
I only heard about flying semi tractor trailers
It was bad here in DFW. I have family in Arlington whose house was spared while the next block down was demolished. All flights cancelled out of DFW. It’s a mess.
Those orange Schneider trucks took a pounding, they don’t land too well.
All spared here, in Irving, but it wasn’t far enough away for my taste!
Friend of mine is heading towards Memphis. Is it in the line of the storm. He said he has a full load. I told him I don't think that will matter, 50,000 pounds to a tornado is not that much.
I can just see Zero bouncing up and down on his couch and giggling, pointing and laughing at the Schneider National trailers flying through the air and houses full of bitter, clingy white people exploding into flinders ..... and composing in his own mind the soaring, unicorn-filled rhetoric he'll use when he publicly tells Rick Perry, his FEMA people, and the whole State of Texas to go eff off.
I hope he stays safe...
... and stays away from “Flying J” (literally!) truck stops for the night.

Glad you’re okay.
On the lighter side ... Precinct Conventions were held in 32 hub locations around Tarrant County.
Ted Cruz for Senate!
I thought I would throw that out there.
Right on with that. Naw, we just elected delegates and revised party platform.
