Biden to voters: ‘This isn’t your father’s Republican party’

Vice President Joe Biden emphasized the stark changes he believes have changed politics Sunday, saying that the GOP had become unrecognizable from the party he once knew.

“This is not your father’s Republican party. This is a different party than I’m used to,” Biden said CBS’s on Face the Nation.

Biden said the Republican electorate has changed, forcing their party’s leaders and lawmakers further to the right.

The vice president pointed to many newer members of Congress, saying they had blocked efforts to work with Democrats. Even though “the idea of compromise is alive and well in Congress” the “minority of the Republican party control[s] Congress, [so] there is no room for compromise,” said Biden.

Democrats are viewed as “too liberal” far more than the Republicans being “too conservative.”

“My father’s” Republican Party was one that won the presidency and once in a while the Senate, but never thought it could win the House. Thank goodness this isn’t my father’s Republican Party.

What needs to be realized is that compromise and accomodation are both forms of moral dishonesty.

Biden is right but not in the way he thinks. My fathers republican party talked about the evils of socialism, abortion, homosexuality, and being faithful in your marriage.

Now these things get you ridiculed by some even on FR.

Remembering the past I remember a time when none of the present Department heads nor the President would pass the nation’s security clearance for their respective positions. Considering that most of those appointed under them are even more radical.
Scary!!!!!!
