SNIP
On Friday, the Daily News obtained EMS documents suggesting Zimmerman, who an ex-colleague said was fired from a security job for being too aggressive, did not sustain serious injuries in the fatal encounter.
Paperwork detailing the EMS response to the shooting scene shows that a call for a second ambulance was canceled.
An audiotape containing the EMS communications, also obtained by The News on Friday, records unidentified workers discussing the scene.
Zimmermans condition is mentioned briefly in the 30-minute recording.
Do we have a second patient? a man asks.
Thats affirmative. We have a second patient, a woman replies. The second patient is not a gunshot.

Usually if it gets to the point the injuries are fatal, protecting yourself is a moot point.
But that would be sense, not nonsense.
Yes, I looked through that site. I did not see any source for the location he marked on that map. It may fit the timeline, but I just don’t know where it came from.
It is clear to me that you know NOTHING about concealed carry, and should therefore stop speculating on what you don't know.
I carry EVERY DAY everywhere I can, and a few places our malum prohibitum laws proscribe. I carry when I go eat. I carry when I go to Target, the gas station, Wal-Mart, grocery store, feed store, hardware store, everywhere. In the rain, in the snow, it doesn't matter. I carry in my pocket holster, I open-carry on a holster on my hip, and sometimes even carry another one in an ankle holster.
What am I afraid of? NOTHING.
No Trayvon is going to bust down on me. He'll get an extra hole, just like this one did. And deserved.
Based on the call, there it was about 3-4 seconds between GZ's "ah, shit - he's running!" and the time the door opened. It was another 18 seconds or so before he acknowledged the dispatcher's "we don't need you to do that." How much of a head start did TM have? If TM only had a few yards and a few seconds on GZ, would TM's instinct been to have run down a straightaway that was completely exposed if he thought GZ might not have been too far behind? Could GZ have been able to reach the north end of the walkway in time to see TM if TM was running down the straightaway for home? Were there lamps or security lights between the building, any porch lights on, any ambient light from any of the homes? Could GZ hear running footsteps?
That GZ didn't mention any of the above is something that makes me think that TM ran and ducked.
Another FReeper who knows nothing about concealed carry or the dynamics of armed confrontation.
You can't just "shoot him in the arm." Bullets don't just stop in your arm.
Plus, in a Condition Red situation, auditory exclusion and tunnel vision occur, along with loss of fine muscle control.
That's why people who are trained to survive gunfights are taught to shoot center mass. It may be all you can do, and it will STOP THE ENCOUNTER.
There's none of this Hollywood "shoot their toe off" crap in a real gunfight. I've talked to people who have been in REAL gunfights. They know.
Read it again....Zimmerman not Martin.
>> , Martin should not have been killed. You know, maybe shot in the arm to stop him from punching.
We know very little about the nature of the gun firing.
However, as a paunchy old guy, if my head was getting banged on the ground/sidewalk and some 6'2” guy was pummeling me - that would be considered, at the time, life and death. And it could be - one strong punch to the wrong part of the head and who knows what might happen.
Like I said earlier, that makes detour somewhat inconsistent with the story. I'm estimating that sidewalk to the shooting site some 60ish feet. Not a big distance by any means. So what led him down that sidewalk? Just curiosity? Or did TM see him and engaged him in the verbal exchange causing GZ to take those few steps in that direction?
See post 130.
It's been changed:
Funeral director says Trayvon's body showed no signs of brawl
Zimmerman didn't lay a glove on the kid. The only thing that stopped Travon from killing Zimmerman was the bullet.
19:11:42 Dispatcher: He's running? Which way is he running?
19:11:44 [sound of vehicle door opening]
19:11:45 Zimmerman: Down towards the, uh, other entrance to the neighborhood.
19:11:48 Dispatcher: Okay, which entrance is that that he's heading towards?
19:11:50 Zimmerman: The back entrance
See post 107. The back entrance to the neighborhood is south and west of the fiancee's home. It seems unlikely that GZ would claim that TM was heading down toward the other entrance if GZ only observed him running due west i.e., from C to E.
Unless he saw him running down the street.
But again, the points hinge on how close TM was to GZ when he took off. If he came close enough to check GZ out, that implies that he was closer to the junction of the road where GZ was parked and the beginning of the cut through. If he took off from that point, it seems that turning between the building would better fit the time and GZ's observation of his direction. Taking the first available turn (the sidewalk between the buildings) and breaking line of sight would also make more sense than running in a direction that would give GZ a sustained line of sight. The E point on the blogger's map/timeline just doesn't make sense to me.
Very, very true. Only George, Trayvon, and God know for sure what happened and only one of those is available for comment.
Since we're assuming. Assume GZ is in his car and TM is "checking him out" from about the corner. GZ starts unhooking his seatbelt, looking like he's getting out, and TM takes off down the street. GZ exits, fast walk/run to the corner and sees TM disappear between the buildings down to the left. GZ follows, takes the same cut-through. Police ask where he lives and GZ starts to say then whispers he (paraphrasing) "needs to be careful because he doesn't know where TM is". He walks North, then towards the "E" to get his bearings. His father referred this "E" spot in an interview. And the Police recording might reference this spot as well.
Probably be best to listen to the call while looking at the map.
Thing is, if GZ took that route, cut through between the "G" bldg and the one just south of it, TM would have had a great opportunity to watch him. Might have followed him until he got off the phone.
Whatever happens, happens. Our pontificating will not change the outcome. Of course, if Obama lets this thing go and on, there will an escalation of threats that will inevitably lead to violence and death.
The so called “leadership” we have in D.C. has an aversion for the Truth and the Rule of Law. They are wielding to the pond scum of Society.
