It was the picture of poor taste.
An editorial cartoon published Tuesday in the University of Texas at Austins student newspaper has sparked national outrage for suggesting Trayvon Martins killing was being overblown by the media, and invoking an offensive term for African-Americans.
Adding insult to injury, the cartoon misspelled the slain teens name.
The cartoon in the Daily Texan shows a woman wearing glasses holding a book titled Treyvon Martin and the case of yellow journalism. She is sitting in a chair labeled The Media. In the cartoon, she tells a young boy, And then
the Big Bad White man killed the Handsome, sweet, innocent, colored boy!!

Heck, if Im white, meaning lack of color, I dont really see the problem.
I believe that is incorrect. White is the combination of colors. Black is the absence of color(s).
White skin is due to a relative absence of pigmentation. Progressively darker skin is due to increasing amounts of pheomelanin and eumelanin. White light is due to a combination of all waveforms of visible light. But if you mix all the primary colors of pigments in paints, you won't get white paint, you'll get a muddy looking mess.

Anyone know how to do an analysis of the tweet history of all this? Was the source of the first tweets weeks after the event the same source of the tweets calling for the Million Hoodie March?

The racebaiters on the lib side are going to bang this drum til elections. That 'drum' might be alienating the young - black and white - who are sick to death of white liberal elites, violent brain-dead Black Panthers, Poverty Pimps and White enablers. Democrats don's 'get it' - they ARE the Establishment - and the young are getting sick of them.

Sometimes its black, sometimes African American, sometimes who knows what it is. Just as long as you don't call them Americans, I suppose.

There’s a lot of power in keeping “racism” alive.
The effect, however, has been to gin up generational racism among blacks, holding them back, out of the successful mainstream society.

Colored was actually a polite term in its day.Yes, it was; mom would not let us get away with the "n" word. And I haven't seen the NAA(L)CP debating about a name change.
