Author, Wana Duhart's case study explains Sarah Palins appeal among Conservatives and Republicans.
The contention among the Republican candidates continues to rise as they fight to position themselves as the true front runner. Although Mitt Romney continues to hold a lead over Rick Santorum, according to Public Policy Polling, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin remains the favorite among Republican Party voters. "People, Politics, and Profits: The Ties that Bind Main Street, the Beltway, and Wall Street," an essay written by Wana L. Duhart, provides a case study that explains the emergence and appeal of Sarah Palin and why she remains relevant today.
Sarah Palins appeal, according to Duhart, exposes Beltway elitism and condescension. She goes on to explain that the misconceptions held by elitist factions, regarding their perceived authority to make decisions about the lives of everyday Americans, further substantiate Palins appeal to regular folks and ordinary people. The media establishment is quite frankly scared to death of her and doesnt know what to make of this woman who hails from the great state of Alaska, our last frontier, says Duhart.
The heart of People, Politics, and Profits underscores what she considers the genius of Palin, as she provides a comprehensive look at how the very elitism that is antithetical to Palin's appeal, is the same elitist tendency that is directly and indirectly responsible for wreaking havoc on the lives of many Americans. In her section on Main Street, she examines some of the macro and micro changes that have been devastating for families and the American economy. In Class Warfare: The Elephant in the Room, the author gives voice to a disturbing undercurrent that should be taken seriously by people across income classes and the political spectrum.
The discussions about The Beltway and Wall Street draw the reader back to why Sarah Palin continues to resonate with everyday people -- hardworking Americans reject the strong influence and authority of these powerful and wealthy elitists. As she describes some of the familiar habits and practices of Washington politicians and Wall Street financiers, she reminds us all of how interconnected and dependent they are on each other. Deaf Ears and Blinded Eyes: Hypocritical and Schizophrenic Elected Officials just might make you scream or holler, as Duhart talks about the cozy and conflicting relationships between the Beltway and Wall Street.

I wish to heck she would have gotten in the race at least six months ago and we wouldn’t be facing what we’re facing now.
Seriously, our dogs are more popular than any of the candidates............
Sarah has an opportunity to jump head first into this race by endorsing Mr. Newt. I believe if he somehow pulls this out of the dump and ends up the Nominee, he will name Sarah as his VP.
Please listen to the speech at Newt.org which he made at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference on Saturday. Here is the link: http://www.newt.org/2012/03/25/video-newt-addresses-the-pennsylvania-leadership-conference/
Sarah Palin is More Popular than Any Republican Presidential Candidate

But, she’s not running. I love Sarah. Wish she’d have run; she’d have gotten the nomination no doubt. But, as always, we get stuck with crappy candidates. What are we left with now. Kook-Daddy and the Three Stooges. JUST DAMN!
File under: “Damned by faint praise”.
I know Chetwynd's "Hanoi Hilton" went straight to video because of the Hollywood's Leftist proclivities, but at least I got to see it on video.
Belly button lint is more popular than any of the Republican candidates.
Belly button lint is more popular than any of the Republican candidates.
This is news?
Nope. It’s a press release.
which is why I believe there will be a brokered convention.
And she completely let us down by not running. She was wildly popular among Republicans but she let the MSM get to her. We’re the losers. Now RINO Romney will be president and Palin won’t be able to run in 2016 against the GOP incumbent. In all likelihood, she missed her one and only chance to run. I’ll vote for her in 2020 if she runs. If we have a nation left. If we are still allowed to vote. But she completely let us down and let the GOP leadership ram RINO Romney down our throats.
I believe if he somehow pulls this out of the dump and ends up the Nominee,
It would be an interesting senario if you could provide it as to how Newt could pull this off short of a convention fight where he won.
There are 1099 delegates left to be selected and Newt at best has 155. So Newt needs to win 989 of the remaining 1099 delegates in order to have 1144 delegates, the number needed to be nominated. Do you honestly think that is possible?
Please let it be a brokered convention that ends in Sarah getting the nomination.
I wish she had run as well, but you must remember that her polling numbers were absolutely horrible around the time she declined. No doubt they are better now because people are fed up with the remaining candidates, but you can bet that if she had run, she’d have gotten a double-barrel of mud slung at her from both the moderates and the liberals.
